K Wilt is 6’10”? Did he grow 3 inches during the offseason? I know it’s possible, but that caught me off guard. What was he listed at last year?

#5 Polson, Malone and Long help the team over all GPA. I bet they all have a 3.5 or better GPA.

Dissapointed in CAL that this is our final roster…..

12 guys and four of them are basically walkon caliber: Polson, Beckham, Malone, and Long

Looks like a Tubby Smith team with all the wasted scholarships.

Ok I have a question, where is all the dissing of the ul schedule like the media did to UK schedule? The teams they are playing before 12-29(uk) are hardly world beaters. All I heard the day UK released their schedule was how pitiful it was…….

18, I think a lot of people may criticize your post, but you make a good point. I think Cal must be stockpiling scholarships for the next recruits. If it works out, we will sign a historic class.

UK has a strong enough schedule overall. The weakness is in the quality of the nonconference home games.

Although I agree with 18 on the fact that those are 4 wasted schollys, Cal has never played more than a solid 6 man rotation since he has coached here. I too think they help our GPA and APR. what’s the use in having 12 top 50 players if you can only play 5 at a time? And we know he likes a short rotation anyways. Basically it’s his coaching and recruiting policy. If you are good enough then you will play. Some may argue depth is needed fOr practice and while I agree, it hasn’t hurt us so
Far. I agree with others in that I think Cal has a larger plan/scheme in mind.

I like our size but problem vs last years team is being able to switch guys around. Last year Lamb could play the 1,2 or 3 in a pinch. Miller could play the 3,2 and in a pinch the 4 or 1 spots. Jones could play 3 or 4. Switching on D could cause bigger problems this year. Still too early to call until we learn more about these guys but love the talent and size and again these seem to be good kids which is always awesome.

looks like 4 stars: Noel, Poythress, Goodwin, WCS
but, is that a dribble drive team?
    Difficult for Cal, i think.
He desperately needs Mays and/or Harrow to step up!
Wiltjer will be great, but he is not dribble drive.
We are painfully short of 6′ to 6’5″ guys.
    just saying,
lots of talls, not enough shorts….

24 – I agree that Cal likes a short rotation and I can’t argue with his results. He has definitely earned the right to put together his team the way he wants to. That said, I think we aren’t as deep as normal and that many of the previous freshmen were more talented than this group. That’s not to say this isn’t another outstanding class(its amazing)…..just don’t see the same firepower yet. Can’t wait for the season though.

Guess you could play Noel,,Poythress and Cauley-Stein across the front with Wiltjer at shooting guard . Be a zone team for sure. The point would not have any trouble distributing the ball. LOL

Has anyone seen Goodwin play ? Can he shoot,,,,can he penetrate the middle and distribute the ball ? Yep,,,Hood will have to set it up this year. Saw him get triple teamed in H S and still knocked down the jumpers. Needs to relax and start making his shots.
