The picture is an oldie, but a goodie, as we have to move quickly. Some notes on the day:
— John Calipari declined the opportunity to comment on the Bledsoe situation at the SEC Spring Meetings in Destin. Instead he talked about the team a bit and made a comment that being the coach at Kentucky means you have a lot of supporters but those that will write things as well. It was pretty standard and gave no one any ammunition either way.
— As you saw earlier, the media back and forths continued today, this time between Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com and me. I actually like Gary a lot and we continued the conversation (so as to spare everyone’s Twitter accounts) through Direct Message. During one of my radio appearances over the next few days, I hope to Gary on the air.
— I have been asked a lot today about the college assistant coach who leaked the transcripts. As I said yesterday, I wont release the name I believe it to be until I am more assured than I am now. It would be juicy and fun to put it out there, but not responsible. If that changes, know that I will report it here.
— The SEC coaches decided not to change the seeding in the SEC Tourney for at least another year. So the East/West format continues for now.
— I will be on the radio tonight on 1350 AM in Louisville, talking Bledsoe from 6-7 pm with Chip Cosby. If you are in the area, tune in as we will get more specifics on the weekend’s events.
