Good afternoon, KSR readers. This young man has requested today’s afternoon notes and podcast. We better listen to him. LISTEN TO HIM.
— In case you’re just joining us this afternoon, the SEC media rankings were released today and your University of Kentucky Wildcats are projected to win the conference. The Cats received 17 of the 24 first place votes to finish ahead of Florida, Missouri and Tennessee. The SEC media voters also named Nerlens Noel to the All-SEC first team and Alex Poythress received second team honors.
— It’s Monday, which means we’re one day closer to Wednesday, the day ESPN airs a new episode of All-Access Kentucky. CoachCal.com has a new preview for this week’s episode called “Foundation To Move Forward.”
— Ryan Harrow is the 19th best point guard in the country, according to CBSSports.com. Murray State’s Isaiah Canaan is No. 1, followed by the SEC’s Phil Pressey from Missouri. Peyton Siva is ranked ninth despite never winning a game against Kentucky.
— Kentucky is losing a SportsNation poll on ESPN.com. Let’s fix that real quick.
— In football news, Taylor Wyndham’s beard was the story from Monday’s media opportunity. I guess we’ve reached that point in the season. Another interesting note from practice: Patrick Towles is day-to-day and will attempt to practice tomorrow. Scroll on down to read Rashawn’s notes and watch a video from Joker’s press conference.
— The KSR Dating Game is underway and we’re ready to start taking applications from the fellas. Guys, if you’re interested in being set up on a blind date with courtside seats for the Blue/White game, send an e-mail to Shannon The Dude ([email protected]) letting him know why you should be picked.
