UK Baseball’s South Carolina Double-Header Recap

Kentucky baseball came out on the losing ends of both games of a double-header today against South Carolina.  Just minutes ago, the Gamecocks won the second game 7-6 in 11 grueling innings.

The Cats dropped the first half of the double-header after an explosive 6th inning brought score from zip-nada to 4-2, Gamecocks.  UK would lose that game 5-2.  The double-header comes in a rough scheduling patch for Kentucky, who have played ranked teams for 14 of their last 16 games.  SEC baseball schedules are like SEC football schedules: brutal.  Here’s hoping the 17th ranked Kentucky squad can catch a few breaks going forward.

Keep up with the Hoops Summit before you get all choked up with the baseball losses.  See what I did there?  Baseball… choked up…  Alright, I’m done.

Regardless of the team, I can trash it. In my post above, I manage to disparage both thebasebal AND basketball teams. Is that an art, or what???

At the buffet, they use the term “your eyes are bigger than your stomach”. Hate to admit it Mike (#1 and #2), but you are right! Like UK basketball last year, preseason #5, ended up in the top 75 I believe. Preseason UK baseball, wayyyy OVERRR RATEDDDDD! We are NOT even in the top 25, sorry guys. Maybe there will be some MAJOR improvement that proves me wrong, but I doubt it.
