“U” Stay away from Braxton Berrios…

(Yeah, but we invented “YAHTZEE!”  Sort of…)

One of Kentucky’s prime wide receiver targets in the class of 2014, Braxton “Honey Nut” Berrios, received an offer from what many consider to be his “dream school.” Miami (Fla.) offered Berrios, putting a lot more pressure on Mark Stoops and his staff to sway the stud receiver to Lexington. If we’ve learned anything about this coaching staff so far though, it’s that they don’t shy away from this type of recruiting battle.

Dreams seldom match up well with reality. I’m glad he was offered. Now comes the hard part and that is separating reality from fantasy. He needs to visit and ask the hard questions.

Is that the Same MIAMI that will see the death penalty once the NCAA finishes their recruiting violations? Or the Miami that pays for abortions after recruits knock up prostitutes? Good [email protected]@@

#5: Miami has already sat out of two postseason bowl games and taken scholarship reductions and other measures. The NCAA also screwed up the investigation. Everything considered, the school will get nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Hope he goes to The U. That would be one less [email protected] nickname this site gives to a player.

I watched ‘The Opening’, and this kid is Wes Welker jr. He is just soooo shifty and speedy that any defense would have trouble covering him.

Think about Neal Browns Air Raid with him in the slot and BOOM Williams out of the backfield!

He prolly wants to play for a team that has a winning record in conference instead of a team that never has.

Back on topic, I hope UK can land Berrios’ services! He would be a big get, especially with UK’s offensive scheme.

He is gonna be VERY tough to get now. I still think we have a shot with Stoops and Barker on the trail but it is going to be very hard for him to say no to a lifetime dream.

If he still decides to come visit UK on the 19th, then we still have a good shot at landing him.

We shall see…Neil Brown offense and playing in the best conference in the country…Does not sound like an easy pick to me for Honeynut…He can come and be a part of one of the most exciting offenses in the country…Will he get that at Miami…STOOPS TROOPS!!!

I agree with you, brother! I think the only hope we have now is if the NCAA comes down hard on Miami when the sanctions are announced. Myself, I feel as if Miami is going to get more than just a slap on the wrist. Yes, Shapiro is now a convicted felon. But, that convicted felon’s claims were also backed up with cancelled checks; credit card receipts; phone records, etc. From what I read, it looks as if most everyone that was someone at Miami knew about Shapiro, and knew exactly what he was doing.
Even if the kid does give a verbal to Miami now, he may recant once he sees the severity of the sanctions.
