Zagsblog is allowing a top 2013 SF to contribute journal entries to the site as his recruitment furthers on. Tyler Roberson posted tonight on Zagsblog, revealing his top six schools and his first three visits. Tyler cut his list from ten to six, which Kentucky, Rutgers, Kansas, Villanova, Syracuse, and SMU remaining. He set official visit up to SMU (9/27), Syracuse (10/5), and Kansas (10/12). Looks like Big Blue Madness is out of the picture for Tyler, but check out what he had to say about UK and the rest:
These are some of the reasons why I picked these six schools.
Kansas: Coach [Bill] Self (Head coach) and Coach [Joe] Dooley (Assistant coach) really convinced me about how they could use me in their offense and how I would be a good fit. They also told me about the history of the school which was interesting.
SMU: Coach [Larry] Brown talked to me about how he could help make me into a better player and how he wants me to be a part of what he is trying to build at SMU.
Kentucky: I learned a lot about Kentucky’s program when I talked to Coach [John] Calipari (Head Coach) and Coach [Orlando] Antigua (Assistant Coach) which is one of the reasons I have decided to take a visit. I am looking forward to the visit and seeing the school and talking to the coaches.
Rutgers: Coach [Mike] Rice was the last home visit I had. It was probably the best one of them all. It was a lot different than the rest of the visits. One of the things Coach Rice talked to me about was how I could do something special by staying home and coming to Rutgers.
Syracuse: Coach [Jim] Boeheim (Head Coach) and Coach [Mike] Hopkins (Associate Head Coach) talked to me about their style of play and how I would be perfect for it. They also told me about the school and I learned a lot of new things.
Villanova: I had a in home visit with Villonava today it went well Coach [Jay] Wright talked a lot about the basketball program and how the school isn’t too far away from home.
