Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Two games at once? No problem.

What does John Calipari do when Julius Randle is playing on Court 3 and James Young is playing on Court 4??? Most, if not all, coaches would split time between both courts if they had a similar predicament.

But not John Vincent Calipari.

Coach Cal left his seat at midcourt and pulled a chair around to the opening at the end of the curtain that divides both courts. That way, he can smile at James to his left and wink at Julius to his right.

I especially enjoyed the playful karate kick he gave Billy Donovan as he passed, too.

Cal runs these events.

So, are we officially passing on Chris Walker because of his public comments about not being offered by UK? I can understand that sentiment but I’d hate to see him wind up at Florida or Louisville. We’ll be stacked regardless.

Chris Walker is going to Florida. There is no doubt that he wants an offer to UK but that is simply no more than just for bragging rights just to say he was offered by all the blue blood schools, like adding another trophy to the case. Walker and Kasey Hill are very close and love playing together on the same AAU team and will be playing together at the college level wearing Gator uniforms. Calipari would drop the Harrison twins in a heartbeat if he could get Hill. Sorry Cal, Hill is all Gator, and Walker is too.

^^^ Just imagine how good Florida will be next year if Anthony Bennett sticks around for his sophomore season.

#6 – If UK gets 4 of the 5 Young, Parker, Randle, Harrison twins, (wiggins if he reclassifies) The Gators might not have a chance even if they brought back Noah, Parsons, Dupay, Williams, Bonner and Horford!

    6. If we don’t get him, I’ll be glad if he stays in the SEC. We can teach him which program gets you to the league, like we did Patric Young.

gog8ors – I think we will be just fine…I’m guessing Cal isn’t losing too much sleep over it. If you couldn’t beat us with Young/Boynton/Beal/Walker I’m not too worried about two guys that we will have better players than at their positions according to nearly every major analyst…other than you of course since you seem to be clairvoyant.

Right. There are going to be so many banners that we’ll have to start taking them down to make room. Damn it, Cal!

I have heard the ‘he is all gator’ thing a few times since Cal has taken the helm…only to see the guy commit to UK months later. That said…even if this guy is a gator, we will have what we need.

    14. you had to have had help coming up with that one. there’s too much genius in that post for one person to have thought up :/

Didn’t Cal do the exact same thing last year, sitting right at the curtain to watch two games at once?

@14 – it’s “you’re”, not “your” and in order to take a banner down, you have to have one to put up first. Sorry your favorite team doesn’t…

6 Why would Cal drop the Harrison twins who are the top point and shooting guards in the class for the second best point guard? Gator fans would drop Billy in a heartbeat if you all could get Cal. Sorry Gator fans, Cal is a Wildcat and just about any top talent he wants is too.

If we don’t offer Chris Walker I bet Ricky P will swoop in and get him to committ to UoL. He could use the whole rivalry thing to his advantage and I think Walker would hold a grudge against UK if he never gets offered. What better way to get back at Cal then to go to a rival school and have a chance to torch us?

    6. gogayters-barking up the ole Bennett tree again? You have shown us all exactly how much you know before. You just keep spewing that crap. None of us here are impressed, we are not in awe, and we are certainly not patiently awaiting your senseless drivel. Take your drool and go on back to your Mom’s house in the swamp where we will never see you again (because we don’t feel the need to come to the gaytors site-if there is one). We know Fla just wants to BE US, and your presence here just confirms that.

#29. If you’re concerned about Walker going to a rival and then torching the Cats, why would you be more afraid of him going to UofL who plays UK once a year than him going to Florida who UK plays at least twice a year and sometimes three times when they meet in the SEC Tourney.

29, then Walker will get hurt and stay at Loserville for about 27 years. Have his scholarship taken away, only to be asked if he wants to come back again, then to ride the bench in the D-league

i dont know why Walker would go to UL over Florida. I just dont see the pull to UL. Their campus is junk, their coach produces 10 times more players injured in practice than players to the league, and freshman RARELY get starters minutes much less have any chance of going one and done for those that have aspirations of doing so. Pretty sure Walker has stated that he wants to go to the league after his freshman year and NBA scouts have been very impressed with him at recent camps. The only thing nice about UL is their new staium. Unless you grew up a UL fan, why would you go there?
