Tweet Beat: Yahtzee is the best game ever

As part of the never-ending quest to bring you University of Kentucky news in the most ridiculous manner possible, I comb the Twitter-verse each week for the funniest, oddest, and sometimes, nearly illegible tweets from your favorite players and personalities. Basically, I read Twitter so you don’t have to. Without further ado, here are the best tweets of the week.

First things first, let’s get some Stanley BOOM Williams tweets out of the way:

Mainord Yahtzee’d!

Stoops Yahtzee’d!

Cal Yahtzee’d!

Even Mitch Barnhart yahtzee’d!

Chad Scott did this weird thing where he did the Cat Daddy while marking territory:

As Mitch would say, it was a really, really nice day for Kentucky football.

On the other side of the world, Kyle Wiltjer posted a picture of the locker room the Canadian developmental team’s using in China. Let’s just say it was a far cry from Rupp Arena. This afternoon, he was still so amused by it he made a video:

Derek Willis seems to be acclimating to UK life well. His Twitter cover photo is Stone Cold Willow:

After months of boring tweets, Doron Lamb is BACK!

What do you think this woman found in Doron’s bathroom?

Patrick Patterson may be a beast on the court, but he’s still scared of bugs:

Julius Randle has met a lot of famous people: Beyonce, Jay-Z, Drake, etc., but the most random may be Johnny F’ing Football, Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel:

Papa Brooks was back in Lexington this week and struck a pose with a very flat Matthew Mitchell:

Watch Tod Lanter flex dem bones on some elementary school campers:

I bet even Ryan Harrow would dunk on that goal.

Today was a big day for Brian Long…he ate Arby’s for the first time:

As Hood later put it, they did their GTA: Gym, Tan, Arby’s. Enjoy the curly fries, Brian.

Archie Goodwin continues to be one of the best Viners out there:

I’m trying to wean myself off hoodies since I’m in my late 20’s, but this hoodie/travel pillow that Marcus Lee posted is pretty darn impressive:

Damn, I knew I should have been more discreet…

Want to feel old? Antoine Walker has a daughter that just graduated from high school:

Rex: Never.

Erin Calipari just “gets it.”

This week’s “Tweet That Makes You Go Aww” is a no-brainer: Drew Barker back in the day. Screen shot 2013-06-13 at 3.45.26 PM

Finally, a flaw in Randall Cobb: he’s addicted to candy.

TWEET OF THE WEEK: Ramel Bradley

I’m beginning to think that Smooth can find pretty ladies anywhere.

Until next time, RT plz?

@1…I don’t like the Yahtzee thing either. If Louisville was using it we would all be making fun, but as long as it brings in the recruits………YAHTZEE!!!!!!!

What kind of bug is that in PPat’s vid? Silverfish? I used to have those in my apt. in Merrick Place. They are super gross.

When one gets a six of a kind in the dice game Yahtzee, it is customary to yell out Yahtzee! People sometimes use this in other walks of life when something good happens. It is similar to yelling Bingo.

Who started the Yahtzee thing? Stoops? The fans? Another school?

The yahtzee thing is so awkwardly lame that it almost works, but it makes me cringe

    and still nowhere NEAR as lame as L1C4…. {*throws up international hand gesture for “loser”, er, Louisville*}

I cant believe Stoops thinks Yahtzee is cool. Someone needs to tell him it might of been cool when he was a kid or something but not now. There is no difference between Yahtzee and Bingo. So uncool.

Well, apparently ‘Toine still has all those suits of his that were hanging in every city in the U.S.

And EC does just get it! Stick it to the NCAA any way you can!

Yahtzee was invented by a very wealthy Canadian couple in order to entertain their guests on the yacht they owned, true story.

Being a teenager myself (like all of the recruits) I think the Yahtzee thing is hilarious. The kids love it so that’s all that matters.
