TV Williams opens up about picking the Cats

Last night, 3-star WR TV Williams committed to Kentucky, becoming the 20th member of the 2014 class and boosting UK’s Rivals Team Ranking back up to #3 in the nation. Williams spoke to Fox Sports’ Erin Hartigan afterwards, and had some great things to say about his future as a Cat. Check out the video above, or scroll down for my highlights:

— TV said that he first got a taste of the Big Blue Nation when he was on his way to his first visit and saw a UK fan and a Louisville fan arguing about which school was better in the Atlanta airport. The UK fan turned to TV and asked what he was going to Lexington for, and he said to see the Spring Game. The UK fan then asked if he liked UK football, to which TV said yes, and the guy showed him a picture of Thaddeus Snodgrass and asked if TV knew him. TV said yes, and that he talked to him a few days ago. From there, the guy asked TV what his name was, went back to his seat, pulled up his Rivals profile, and asked to take a picture with him.

On UK’s future: “Coach Stoops is going to turn it around, I can promise you that. Big Blue Nation, it’s big. It’s going to be a top 5 program, I can promise you that. If not while I’m there, then a couple years after.”

On his goals at UK: “Honestly, I’m not talking down anyone at the program right now, any of the receivers or anything, but I’m gonna go in and try to start. That’s why I’m graduating early, that’s why I’m trying to get there. …I want to go to Alabama and play Alabama at their house and score two touchdowns on them my freshman year.”

I want you to do that too, TV.

Love this guy and everything but he’s wrong. They couldn’t be arguing over which school was better.
You really can’t argue over a face. #BBN

But…ESPN NCAAB – UNC F P.J. Hairston won’t face additional charges from June traffic stop that resulted in drug arrest, police said. And Ashley Lowery gets a DUI

@9 If Andre Woodson and Keenan Burton (among others) could get us in the top 10, you really think Drew, Thad, etc will have any trouble?

I love his attitude! Isn’t it funny UL fans (know you are here) that a team that went (2-10) last year, is on its way to getting a better football class than you have ever had?
