RILEY_COURT_BROLL

Remember “Bluegrass Kingdom: The Gospel of Kentucky Basketball,” the Turner Sports documentary we told you about last week? You know, the one narrated by Drake featuring interviews with Pat Riley, Jamal Mashburn, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Joe B. Hall, John Calipari, and Ashley Judd? While the documentary won’t air on television until Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on truTV, those of you in the Lexington area have a chance to be the first to see it.

Tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. ET, the documentary will premiere at the Kentucky Theater in downtown Lexington. The screening is free and open to the public.

We’ll have more on the documentary throughout the week.

I have always thought that it would have been beyond cool to have lured Pat Riley into coaching the Wildcats at some point in their history.

Pat Riley reminds me of the Hugh Hephner of the NBA.

I had been a Cat fan when I was little, then my first year at UK was the Runts. It sort of spoiled me for all teams after. They passed the ball so quickly that I recall a Tennessee player almost falling down from dizziness watching the ball move around the basket until there was a layup. They could pass faster than opponents could watch.

According to Comcast (my cable carrier) this show is scheduled on TruTV for Thursday, 3/21 at 5:30-6:30pm and not Sunday as you have stated.

I think Riley was offered the job before Sutton got it…and let it be known that he couldn’t accept before piteener got it

i can’t think of one way the Riley has embraced being part of BBN, in fact , he seems to go out of his way to distance himself

#10. I would agree. Maybe Matt Jones should try to have him on the show sometime.
