Tuesday Quarterback Update

It’s looking like it will be the Whitlow-Newton Show again this Saturday when Kentucky plays host to No. 11/13 Georgia. Patrick Towles got all dressed up for Tuesday’s practice, but did not participate. Joker Phillips had the freshman quarterback there as an observer to continue learning. After practice, offensive coordinator Randy Sanders said he isn’t counting on Towles to be ready by Saturday.

Sanders also said Morgan Newton needs to be in the mix with Jalen Whitlow because of Newton’s experience. “I thought when Morgan was in there, we did some pretty good things,” he told reporters.

Beat Georgia.

”I thought when Morgan was in there, we did some pretty good things,”

He should be fired based on that statement alone.

Dressed but did not participate so he could observe and continue learning? Observe a senior he has already surpassed and a freshman with a totally different skill set? Super.

When are you people gonna give up on me firing my bud Joker? I get 600k a year and do pretty much whatever I want so give it up people. I’m the boss and we get a boat load of SEC t.v. money for just showing up on Saturdays and I get to spend it all on my beloved sports like girls mountain climbing, rowing, checkers, gymnastics, archery,….the things that smart people like me care about.

The “friend” statements between Barn and Joker remind me of Lenny and George from Mice and Men. I haven’t figured out who is who yet though….Oh and about the game Sat….Who cares anymore….

Agree w/1, 2, & 4. What game was Sanders watching? What QB was he watching? What other stupid sh!t is he going to say? When do the questions end with these clowns? When…?

Just thinking out loud. We may as well play Towles when he is healthy. If he is as good as advertised, he wouldn’t stay 4 years and if he isn’t he’d be replaced by someone else anyway, so when he is ready, I say let him get experience.

#12, dumb comment. On Sanders, do you media people ever ask these coaches to explain what they are saying? What pretty good things did Newton do. Sanders is paid $338,000. Start with letting him go today.

Sad but true against Arkansas before the saving rain came:
UK – Total offensive yards 170. Total passing yards 104. Total 1st downs 6.
Ark. Total offensive yards 533. Total passing yards 372. Total 1st downs 24.
SEC rule that games cannot be canceled before 12 midnight was waived so UK could catch a plane back to Lexington.
Scratching my head about what Newton pretty good things Newton did.

Kentucky Football is going to beat Georgia in the fist with their faces.

That’s the only way that this KF team can beat this GF team.

    That’s reality.

    They should fire everyone now.

I like one suggestion that I heard somewhere. Bring in Jared for the remaining games. At least it would be entertaining and might even sell some tickets.

I haven’t seen UK football do any “pretty good things” in the last 2 1/2 years. I need to find out who his dealer is because my stash is running low.
