Was friends with Neal Brown when we went to UK together. I met him through a UK player I was friends with from high school. I have nothing but good memories of Neal as he was a very humble, friendly, smart, and responsible dude. I can see how he has been so successful thus far and think he will do great at UK.
I committed to Kentucky because during Hurricane Sandy I watched the telethon and saw that noone else who was recruiting me bothered to do the same thing. That is the connection Matt.

I really believe we can get more out of Jarrod Polson as far as scoring. As one caller put it last week, he is playing scared like he will be put back on the bench. He needs to realize how important he is to the team and start freakin’ making plays. The kid could shoot lights out in high school. Just saying, If Kentucky is going to focus on any in state recruit it needs to be Jason Hatcher. Yes James Quick is great but defensively Hatcher is an SEC caliber speed rusher whos verbal with USC is very weak now. 6’3-260 with a 4.7-40yd dash.

UK falling out of the top 25 took amost a quarter of the back page in the Indy Star Sport section this morning
He said Louisville is going to “pound” us. We’ll see about that. I personally think this will be a pressure-packed game for Louisville as all the “experts” will say Louisville should win and Vegas will have them as a solid favorite. In addition to that, Louisville and Pitino know they haven’t beaten Cal and Kentucky in the past four games and probably will not do so next year either. All that combined, Louisville’s players will be feeling A LOT of pressure to win that game.

Good Day for CATS!! I think Town sounds like a “good kid”. I would rather hear a nose whistle than deal with boogers. As a teacher of little kids that is one of the things I will not miss when I retire.
Matt. The IMG problem with mobile listeners is a huge problem. I have contacted UK Athletics regarding their app and have not gotten anywhere. It is unfathomable that their app doesn’t have an app for listening to radio pregame, in-game, post game, coach’s shows, etc. They direct you to UK Athletics and it’s a total joke there. Hard to find and the volume sucks.

G-Unit — I’ve watched every Trinity home game and playoff game for the last three seasons. If we had a choice between recruits, it would certainly be James Quick because he is seriously the best player Kentucky has ever produced in the modern era. We probably don’t have much of a chance with Quick though, so I agree we probably should focus on Hatcher because he is definitely having doubts about playing at Southern Cal. Charlie Strong leaving Louisville may be the greatest thing for Kentucky as we may very well have a chance with Quick if so.

I took ballroom dancing at Murray St. The only three guys in the whole class was a football player, who didn’t want to be there, and 2 guys who spoke very little English. It was a very awkward yet interesting class.
On the show, the contestants usually end up sleeping with their instructors, so definitely do it.
I do think UK needs to get more “pop” to their uniforms/field. The traditional UK logo is soooo boring!

The BBN fanbase is just better than the stinking dirty birds.
As a former high school basketball coach and current referee, I can say that one thing I see that the UK players don’t do is execute the jump stop in the lane properly. None of them land properly on the two feet at the same time, thus not allowing them to be balanced and able to shoot accurate floaters or short jump shots in the lane. This lack of executing proper jump stops also often leads to turnovers as the guys often go in there and charge or jump off one foot and go in the air without a plan of what to do — often times throwing the ball away. A jump stop allows a player to remain under control while playing at full speed, and also provides the player an arsenal of moves once coming to a stop. These moves include using head fakes, ball fakes, and turning on either foot as they haven’t established a pivot foot yet. To me, the common thread among great offensive players is their use of the jump stop. Archie Goodwin is the No.1 perpetrator of not using jump stops and it is really hurting him. If he consistently established that weapon into his game his stats would skyrocket. Other than Goodwin, almost all of the other players are not good at using the jump stop and it is hurting them as a team. Marquis Teague, Brandon Knight, John Wall, Terrence Jones, and Darius Miller were all fantastic at using this basketball technique and it helped them play under control and allowed them to make proper plays when going to the basket.

Mixed-handedness is related to eye dominance. For example, I am right-handed but left eye dominant. Thus, I pitch right-handed but bat left-handed. I shoot right-handed, but golf left-handed, etc. My better half is just opposite. She is left-handed but right eye dominant and is fairly ambidextrous.
