Troy Williams likes UK coaches…but is expanding list

After postponing his decision last week, 2013 SF Troy Williams is now expanding his list to include Florida, Villanova, Georgetown, Louisville, along with Kentucky and North Carolina.

Williams admitted that last week, he knew which school he wanted to commit to (UNC), but after talking to his uncle, he decided he wasn’t ready to end the recruiting process. The key factor so far in his search? Coaches. And, this quote about which coaches he likes the most makes Kentucky’s chances look pretty rosy:

“It would be the Kentucky coaches because before the dead period I stayed in touch with [Kentucky assistant] coach Orlando [Antigua] the most.

Don’t break out the bubbly just yet; Williams also loves him some Ole Roy:

“I love how great I get along with coach Roy. The players get along well with each other and I get along well with the players — some of them came from my uncle’s [Boo Williams AAU] program. It’s a really good school, has really good academics and the campus is nice and the guys like coach Roy.”

…but…

“Same thing with Kentucky, I like coach Calipari a lot. I like the players — I get along with them well and they get along with each other well, the campus is really nice — I really like the campus, good academics and it’s the same with North Carolina, it just depends on which coach I like more.”

Very confusing comments Troy. If he knows where he is going, why expand the list? Is it just for more exposure?

80% of that video was missed shots and free throws.

This kid is good, but that is the worst “highlight” video I’ve ever seen.

Give the offer to James Young. It sounds like he wants to be a Wildcat. They are both 6’6″ and ranked in the top 10…..I’m tired of these kids dragging out the recruiting process. Williams could drag this thing out until late April 2013, at which time he’ll pick Ole Roy. We need more MKG’s. Kids who commit in their junior year.

Will Coach Cal recruit me if I can make a free throw and post a video of it?

Good luck son, we’ll take James Young and the twins! Adios.

These kids apparently don’t understand the KY Effect or haven’t paid attention the last couple of years: if you want to get what you want, make it to the NBA, become the next millionaire; if Cal & UK wants you, you are an idiot if you go somewhere else.

James Young wants to come to Kentucky. I tweeted him on twitter saying “So when are you commiting to Kentucky haha.” He direct messaged me back saying “soon lol”. He might have been joking, but it still gives me hope.

Dont forget about Jabari Parker. We need him, the twins, Young, and Jimmy Taylor. That’s the perfect class!

Preach it, #11! Seems to be a no-brainer.
