Torian Graham no longer committed to NC State

2012 shooting guard Torian Graham, who was one of Kentucky’s big targets in the class, is no longer committed to NC State. His reasoning behind the decommitment is pretty simple: Something came up.

“Something came up … I don’t really want to talk about it. But, no sir, I’m not committed anymore.”

Scout.com ranks him as the 11th best shooting guard in next year’s class. He is from Word of God Academy in North Carolina, the school that gave us a legend.

Keep an eye on this one.

If Cal pulls the trigger, will the media kill him, saying that we or Wes told him to come to UK. Maybe CJ Leslie told him it was the biggest mistake of his live turning down UK.

    1) Hope what came up is something NCSt did and not something like grades or other school meddling.

    2) People accuse him of stealing recruits that he’s been recruiting for years, so yeah. Probably don’t push for Graham as long as Bazz is possible, though. Even with the exodus likely to happen, we’ve already got Goodwin at that position, too.

    3) Did you see the picture of what happened? Give him a break. It’s hard to handle a ball when your finger is that messed up.

    5) Doubt it. Even if someone (Cal) told him we’ll take Graham if he commits first, Shabazz is unlikely to announce it right now. Since he didn’t announce already, he’ll surely wait for the Spring Signing period.

    Here’s hoping, though.

They said during the game that UK fans need to check Coach Cal’s twitter on Christmas cuz he has a surprise for us. I was thinking may a commitment, but after thinking about it, can Cal make that announcement? I know he’s not supposed to talk about players that are signed so just wondering. As for Graham, if we have the mass exodus some are expecting, he’d be a great pick up. But, I dont think as many ppl leave as some expect, I believe we will be surprised at who stays.

Can we take the lack of a post about Stokes’ pending announcement to be evidence that everyone around UK knows he’s going to UT? It’s gonna suck to play against him twice this year. With all this talk of recruited walkons, should someone be investigating UConn and the Drummond situation?

    9) Cal can’t talk about recruits until they sign or it’s a recruiting violation. His surprises are usually stuff like Papa Johns promotions, Orange Leaf stuff or something that might interest recruits but has nothing to do with fans. At best it’s sometimes the announcement of a series like the Champion’s Classic or helping to open the new Nets arena next year.

Jones and Lamb should be gone, Davis will be compelled to go by Cal (if you’re top 5 pick, Cal will make you leave for the sake of your career and assured money), MKG would be drafted high, Teague can climb if he continues to improve, Wiltjer can play his way into the first round even if his defense continues to be poor. The only sure schollie players for next year are Harrow and Hood, plus Goodwin, Poythress and Cauley, with Beckham, Polson etc on walkon. We may be VERY thin inside if Wiltjer, Davis and Jones all go.

I agree, can Graham shoot. Bazz is still a big question mark. But I don’t think he’s a shooter either. So many of these guys we get are so athletically gifted that they don’t have to shoot, so they never develop a jump shot.

    15) Need I refer you to last year when people went on and on about how Knight was terrible? How about the people that said Bledsoe had to come back because there was no way he’d get drafted? How many PGs in next year’s draft are that much better than him?

As for Wiltjer, the NBA drafts on potential, and a kid his height with a three-point shot and hook shot will get drafted.

    22) Or he saw a friend getting mugged and had probably heard trash talk from the other team the whole game. Why do you UL and UT fans feel the need to come on here and pretend with all this “we” stuff?
