Here a couple of tidbits on the minds of all:
Everybody’s favorite UK walk-on (except maybe mine) stunned the UK world today when he lined up at practice….for football. Yes Ravi Moss, he of the missed three pointers and drives along the baseline followed by throwing himself into a defender and hoping for a foul call during the second half of the season, has decided to try and play football for the Cats for the year. He lined up in Spring Practice today as a wide receiver and apparently caught a 53 yard touchdown pass in practice. He has one year of eligibility remaining, but may now be the grittiest UK football walk on as well.
Story in the Lex Herald today talking to Rekalin Sims’ JC coach that he may soon transfer. This has been coming for some time and has as much to do with Sims’ work ethic as it does his lack of playing time. With Perry and Thomas on the roster next year, it had been rumored that Sims might redshirt. But even then, he isnt guaranteed playing time with the emergence of Perry Stevenson, and this could be his best bet.
Similarly the Adam Williams’ leaving talk continues to heat up. I was told directly by Adam that he was going nowhere. But a long-time reader of the blog who goes to school with Adam says he will transfer in the next couple of weeks, to Marshall. I have no inside insight on this, but if he leaves…..Adam is a good liar (but he is so well-spoken.)
