The 2018 National Championship game is set and will have Villanova face off against Michigan for the title. Both team’s have cemented themselves in history for their last Championship game appearance. Villanova of course did this:
Michigan’s last appearance? Well, back in 2013, they became the only team in the history of college basketball to lose the game against no one.
Now onto the UK news you need to know to start your Easter Sunday:
Yahtzee! Four-Star Commitment for UK Football
Yesterday, Kentucky received a commitment from four-star safety Moses Douglass. Hailing from Springfield, Ohio, Douglass is rated as a top 25 safety in the Class of 2019. His father, Maurice, played at Kentucky from 1984-86 before spending 11-years in the NFL.
Watch Douglass work below:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will announce his draft decision on Tuesday
Matt Jones learned yesterday, that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will announce his NBA Draft decision at some point Tuesday night. I wrote a piece a few weeks ago about how I thought Shai was the biggest surprise in the Calipari era at Kentucky, you can find that here.
Six months ago, we would have never believed that SGA would even be in this position, but as a projected lottery pick, I can’t imagine that he stays. Good luck to Shai in the NBA, this team wouldn’t have been the same without him.
Anthony Davis…. shaves his unibrow?!
Quite possibly the biggest news of the day came from Anthony Davis. Earlier in the week, Davis posted a video on his Twitter asking fans if he should shave his trademark unibrow. Much to my surprise, 51% of fans said that he in fact should shave the unibrow, so yesterday he took it upon himself to please the people.
The people have spoken, time for a little change… pic.twitter.com/i5GiGdMei9

I still can’t imagine that he actually did shave it. With today being April Fools Day, I am expecting some sort of video to come out as this being a big joke.
If not, this could be huge. Was it really the unibrow that brought him all the skills? The world may never know.
Billy Gillispie meets his Organ Donor
It is obviously no secret that the Billy Gillispie era did not work out at Kentucky. After listening to Alan Cutler tell the story of the infamous rundown he had after the former Kentucky coach was fired, it is easy to see why he didn’t work out in Lexington.
With all that being said, our thoughts are with him everyday as his health has taken a drastic turn over the past year. Gillespie was diagnosed with Kidney Disease and put on a list for a Kidney transplant. It turns out a match was found. Here is the story of how it happened. Click HERE.
John Wall Makes his return
After missing the past two months of the season with a knee injury, John Wall returned to the court yesterday. Wall had 15 points and 14 assists in the Wizards’ win over the Hornets. It does sound like the former Cat will not play in tonight’s game against the Bulls as the Wizards try to ease him back into playing time.
Will Rick Pitino actually return to Kentucky?
Will Rick Pitino actually return to that state of Kentucky after swearing he never would? Well, Pitino is a co-owner of the horse Coach Rocks, which qualified for the Kentucky Oaks yesterday. Our own Nick Roush took a deeper look into whether a return will happen for Pitino:
UK Baseball falls to Alabama… close series this afternoon
Through nearly seven innings, UK pitcher Zack Haake was just about as good as you can be. He threw 6.2 innings of no-hit baseball, before the wheels completely fell off in the eighth inning. Haake walked the bases loaded and then surrendered a grand slam, which turned out to be the difference in a 4-2 loss to Alabama. Check out Trey’s recap by clicking here.
The Cats will look to avoid the sweep today at 2pm down in Tuscaloosa.
UK Softball splits double-header with Alabama
Katie Reed homered and the Cats took game two of the double-header against Alabama. Game one didn’t go UK’s way as Alabama cruised to a 9-0 victory, but a bounce back effort gave Kentucky an 11-6 win to close out the night. They will look to win the series against Alabama today at 1pm at John Cropp Stadium.
