Timmons is Kentucky’s seventh four-star commitment

With Ryan Timmons’ addition to the the 2013 recruiting class, Kentucky now has seven commitments rated as a four-star prospect by at least one of the four major recruiting services:

Alvonte Bell:

Javess Blue:

Jaleel Hytchye:

JoJo Kemp:

Marcus McWilson:

Za’Darius Smith:

Ryan Timmons:

To put that in perspective, Joker Phillips only signed eight four-star players over the last three years: Glen Faulkner, Brandon Gainer, Khalid Henderson, Joe Mansour, Darrian Miller, Alex Smith, Patrick Towles and Zach West.

Stoops gettin’ it done.

In fairness I’d give Bell to Joker as he committed when Joker was head coach.

Some people just gotta be Eeyore.

I love the job Stoops and his staff are doing recruiting, especially with such a short time frame.

This is just ridiculous! Never would have thought someone could build this much momentum at UK this fast. It’s hard to imagine what the future could be like. Keep it up Stoops!

I’ve heard a school must sign ten 4* players and 1-3 five star players to be a top team. We are on our way to playing with the big boys! Go Cats!

Having followed the ups and mostly downs of UK football for many years I gotta say this seems to be the best talent recruited in one year that I can remember. For all of us that have suffered through the last second losses, the string against Florida, etc-This is a great day.(even better tomorrow when we get Hatcher) We’re going to make big news in the SEC. WTG coach Stoops and staff!!!!

This post is SO MISLEADING. Rivals shows UK with two 4-stars. Scout shows UK with two 4-stars. 247 shows UK with two 4-stars. Fuzzy math going on here by KSR.

And that receiver Montgomery will be one of the BEST if not the best player in the class…and he is rated 3 star.

Can’t believe we have fans still complaining..

We can’t as for much more so far from Stoops, he showed up ready to work and he did.

He has done more recruiting in few months then Joker did in his entire tenure.

November 27,2012 will go down in UK football history. Mark Stoops was hired that day and a new football power was born. He has recruited more talent in 5 or 6 weeks than Joker recruited in 3 years. I guarantee the class of 2014 will be top 25 maybe top 15 or higher.

I hate how people uses all recruited site for the highest rating. Looking at ESPN UK has alot more 4* players and still not in the top 25. I’ll stick to Rivals they seem to do the best of rating players. Seems like ESPN has alot of 4*. Stoops is tearing it up though makes me even more mad of the money they were paying Joker to do nothing.
