TIME Magazine profiles Jabari Parker

You’ll have a hard time finding reasons to not like Jabari Parker after watching this video from TIME Magazine. As great as the top recruit from the 2013 class is on the court, he seems even greater off of it.

Two interesting parts from the video:

— The interviewer asks, “It has to be Kentucky or Duke, right?”

— Parker says he models his game after Brian Scalabrine.

Give it a watch.

I wish we could get 10 kids a year like him. I’d bet if you ask those around him, they’d tell you that it’s about the team and the win and not himself. Seems like a very unselfish kid. I hope we get him!

Twitter nuts that talk smack to kids: You give UK love a bad name! Turn in your BBN card!

I would love to get Parker, he is an incredible kid. I just never get the feeling that he has UK very high on his list. There is still time for Cal to change that.

Thats awesome, hope he ends up in blue and white for sure. Plus, it sounds like Cal’s recruiting pitch of sacrificing for the team and being a humble/hardworker will appeal to him.

its nice to see what appears to be a very humble and levelheaded young man that is in his position. if he continues down that path he could have a very successful and long term career. and he’d definitely look good in UK blue.

    14. Does your team lack the excitement you have to find from kentucky? You are exactly what you are doing in that post, being a fake person. Accept your own beliefs and share them with those that care.

If he doesnt like the spotlight I doubt he comes here – I don’t think he will want to be under the pressure and expectations

Love his jumper. It’s super smooth. However, we aren’t gonna get him. Maybe julius randle, but jabari is duke bound. Seems like a good feller though

seems like a very bright young man and a great kid. I wish him well regardless of where he decides to play his college hoops. I hope it’s UK, but he’ll be great where ever he goes.
