    1. When has UK football ever had a class ranked #7 in the nation at any point during the off-season? I know it’s early, but yeah, I’d say this is relevant.

let me know when UK has a recruiting class the caliber of the one Ole Miss had last year, #1 player at 3 different positions and 2 of the top 5 players in the country

    5. all I’m saying is ranking recruiting classes when 95% of the players haven’t committed is about as useful as a poopy flavored lolly pop

So we won’t be top 15. 16 would be nice. So shut up, son.

16 won’t get UK above .500 in SEC play

because if your 16 in the country in recruiting your probably 8th or 9th in the SEC

@Mike, even if the Cats don’t have a top-15 recruiting class and it ends up in the 16-20 range, is this something that needs negative attention? I don’t understand the complaining and the whining. It’d be one thing if you said “Hey this is great! Just want to remind everyone, though, that they’ll probably not stick top-10, may end up “only” being top-20! Still great”. But you didn’t.

Listen, I get it, we’re not Florida recruiting quite yet. That said, the gap between the number-10 class and the number-20 class is significantly less than the 10 vs the number-50 class we used to be. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Being a top-20 recruiting class on the heels of a 2-10 season is a minor miracle. Embrace the positive not the negative whining.

Yeah, I really do not get the negative comments on this, other than the fact that there must be some miserable human beings out there.

I think everyone realizes that we will not be top 10 at the end of the recruiting cycle…however we will be LIGHTYEARS ahead of where anyone thought we would be after a terrible season and a months into the tenure of new coach.

As for UL, they do not bother me. UL could win the Orange Bowl every year for the next 20 yrs and they would still be garbage. UL is garbage win or lose.

Just enjoy the progress and the excitement!
    Go Cats!

It is a little early in the rankings. You really need to sort by Average Star Ranking to get a clearer picture of the landscape. For instance, Bama has a higher avg. star ranking (3.5 vs 3.25), but are behind us because they’ve only gotten 10 commits to our 13. However, even looking at average star ranking we are still in uncharted territory and that should get fans pumped. As for the top 100 guys, we are in the mix on some of those ourselves. The talent gap is going to be closer than in the past and that’s when great coaching comes in to play.

Mike obviously is a u of l fan. U of l will continue to drop out of the top thirty you f-;;;. The cats will at least be in the top twenty and after last year that is just amazing. Stoops could be the best hire of the year

I love the screen shot of us ranked 7. Now, do I think we will stay there? Not likely, but as others have said, that we are even in the conversation after the season we had last year is pretty awesome. I feel like we are making some headway. Finally!

Whether or not we stay at 7 is one topic to discuss. But the overriding point is that we are making a lot of noise and are now relevant to good recruits. We now have the hope we haven’t felt in a very long time that we can win some games. I’m thrilled with everything since Stoops got here.

At our current pace, we are projected to end up with 1986 points according to Rivals’ system. That figure would have put us at 16th overall last year and 8th in the conference.
