Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

This seems appropriate today…

Pathetic.  Failure.  Should have been aborted.  All of these terms relate to my work here at KSR – at least according to a few commenters.  And, there have been more.  Some better, some worse.  But, that’s how things work when you write for a blog.  For some reason, you’re viewed as a polarizing figure, either representing good or evil – with little room in the middle (that’s what she said).  You’re no longer just a regular dude who likes to write about sports.  But, still, I have no complaints because this is the coolest and most fun hobby/job in the world.

But, I do still wonder if I am actually a pathetic failure that should have been aborted.  Hmmm.  I guess only my mother really knows (although I’m sure we can count on BigRob to throw in his opinion), but it still makes you wonder why some commenters are so angry. Well, courtesy of The Big Lead, comes this story from Time which attempts to answer the question of “Why are commenters so angry?”.  I don’t really know what the story says because I’ve been talking trash to people all day over at the C-J page under the screen name MonsterJunk69, but it’s probably pretty good.

Or not.

Either way, there is one thing that we need to take from the events of today and this story from Time magazine.  And that’s if you have hate in your heart, then let it out.  Just do it in the right way.  Everytime you argue with a fellow Cat fan today, Billy Packer wins.  And I know that no one wants that.  So, Cat fans, let’s appreciate this dawning of a new Billy Packer-free era and at least hold of on the Cat-on-Cat message board crimes until tomorrow…unless it’s really funny.

And remember, there are only 47 more days until the Louisville game.  Serenity Now!
