The magical world of Rivals.com released a preseason “Power Ranking” of the nation’s top freshmen and, of course, Kentucky was well-represented in the list. John Wall naturally ranked at the top, with DeMarcus Cousins sliding in at number four. Georgia Tech, Texas and Oklahoma were the only other teams to rank two players in the top-25, although none of them came close to placing both in the top four. Interestingly, Eric Bledsoe did not make the list, but if there are 25 better freshman in the country than him, color me surprised. Just FYI, if you are planning on coloring me, you’ll have to get the extra big box of Crayolas. Surprised doesn’t even come in the 48-pack.
