This is What Auburn is Wearing to Practice This Fall

This is what Auburn football is wearing this year in practice. For real…no joke. Our friends at Saturday Down South have many more examples of the Auburn players in Daisy Dukes and if that is the kind of thing you like, have at it.

Whatever we have to say about our football team and its future…as of now we at least aren’t wearing those shorts.

It’s funny.. Teams are doing this kinda think and Kentucky is STILL the biggest laughing stock in all of college football.

Fwiw au is getting a complete overhaul of their uniforms this year from under armour so they’re just getting another use outta em. I gathered this info trolling their boards on their reaction to pike.

I guess we see why Zeke Pike was out drinking at all hours of the nite.

As hot & God knows humid as it is in Alabama, I’m surprised they aren’t practicing in their underwear.

I grew up in Alabama and we wore shorts like that during high school football practice. I guess it wasn’t as cool as I thought it was back then. It is the same feeling Matt will have in ten years when he sees pictures of himself wearing that green shirt he has been wearing lately…

All the good teams actually wear these. Florida, Bama, arkansas etc. Just watch the passing tournaments and 7 on 7 games during the summer. They pretty mich run around In
    Their compression shorts.

6- Me, too. Do people not understand how hot it gets in Alabama?

Only Uk fans would make fun of these shorts.

Should have seen this look back when it was still popular (and legal) to make a half-shirt out of your jersey. That was actually funny.

Man they know were they got those shorts from and it definitely wasn’t the men’s department.

Those are not compression shorts…nearly every team (including Alabama) wears compression shorts with basketball shorts over them…these are actual cutoff football pants. That is why every SEC School in the country is making fun of them…#6 and 8’s opinion not withstanding

Matt is correct, those are cutoff football pants. If you were really “klassy” back in the day, you had those shorts hemmed, so shame on Auburn for being so redneck! After all, nothing can be too good to cover a sweaty jock strap. #8 I sweat just thinking about 2-a-day full pad practices in August back in Bama.

Matt, I know they’re not compression shorts…clearly. That’s why I said they “pretty much are.” and no Alabama and Florida don’t wear basketball shorts over them, watch some of the passing tournaments. I wouldn’t lie

In college we did pro day in compression shorts but we didn’t look like this. This is really redneckish… Lol

Better shorts than pajamas which is what they use in basketball. Besides what would anyone form Kentucky know about football except how to lose frequently?

You gotta let the puppies breathe…especially considering how HOT it has been this summer. Can’t blame the Auburn players/staff one bit. Only people on here making fun of the decision are probably those that have never worked one hard day in their life. Just saying. America has been pussified, and KY is no exception.

I am just saying if your not manly enough to wear shorts that short you shouldn’t be playing football in the SEC. When it’s that hot outside it makes a difference wearing less, agree with #18. Also, if KY would have had pictures wearing practice jerseys like these and were put all over America it would have been good for UK. Any pub is good pub. SKY’S OUT, THIGHS OUT!

What is your problem, people? Those shorts look freakin’ ridiculous and and I can’t imagine they are very comfortable for many of those big ol’ boys. And for those that say kids are wearing this style of shorts for uniforms in 7-on-7 tournaments, quit lying!!!!!!!! They are not at all. Matt is right that compression shorts are being worn, but that another pair of shorts is being worn over them. Auburn is alone in this style right now, unless Under Armour is making them for their other schools. I know for a fact that Florida, Alabama, and other schools aren’t practicing in those skimpy shorts. The pictures of their practices are online.

I love em!! It’s hot in the south-lived in Alabama in the 80’s so I guess if you haven’t been there then you truly can’t understand!! Roll Tide!!

21- exactly. They’ve never ever been to Opelika in August. They need to stop talking b/c they have no earthly idea what they’re talking about.

Head- This is not new nor exclusive to Auburn no matter how many pics you want to post. We grew up down there man. This is not the first pair of FB shorts we’ve seen, believe it or not.

I still fail to see the humor when we’d be the first condemning Barn if a player fell out dead on the flipping practice field.

Auburn are dorks for a lot of other reasons than workout shorts.
I’m sure it gets hot in Kentucky too. I’d be willing to bet you could condition Kentucky’s team for a month then bring them to south Alabama the 3rd week in August and they’d puddin out on ya after about an hour in that humidity. It’s a different world with the humidity. Ya see those cooling units on the side lines in Sept?…they ain’t selling snowcones….the world has can’t pull a Bear Bryant in Junction Texas anymore…Even Bear regretted it the rest of his life…football ain’t worth a single kids life….Matter of fact now days if a kid goes down from a heat stroke you’re frowned upon for not doing your job….
