This Blog Needs More…Lee Majors.

OK, the overwhelmingly positive response to native son, Lee Majors, necessitates providing you with a little more info. Consequently, you will find the lyrics to the “Fall Guy” theme below my terrible writing. As we read (and sing along in our respective noggins), let us pause to reflect on the life of the most influential Kentuckian in our state’s history (take that, Lincoln).

Personally, the Fall Guy was one of my favorite shows growing up as I tuned in weekly to catch Lee do stunt work and solve crimes all the while having a joyous little crush on Heather Thomas. Heather walking through the saloon-style swinging doors in the opening…Glorious. The most recent movie that I’ve seen Mr. Majors in, was the teen ski-comedy “Out Cold”, where he played a rich real estate developer. Based on this observation, it would seem that Majors is getting work at a rate less than that of a 1980’s stuntman. If this is the case, he may want to inquire as to whether it’s too late to join the gubernatorial primaries. It seems pretty evident that he would have the “Quirky Kentucky Sports Blog Reader” demographic sewn up.

Oh, and if you require a recruiting update with every single post, Jai Lucas and Patrick Patterson remain undecided.

Well, I’m not the kind to kiss and tell,
But I’ve been seen with Farrah.
I’m never seen with anything less than a nine, so fine.

I’ve been on fire with Sally Field,
Gone fast with a girl named Bo,
But somehow they just don’t end up as mine.

It’s a death defyin’ life I lead,
I take my chances.
I die for a livin’ in the movies and TV.
But the hardest thing I ever do
Is watch my leadin’ ladies
Kiss some other guy while I’m bandagin’ my knee.

I might fall from a tall building,
I might roll a brand new car.
‘Cause I’m the unknown stuntman that made Redford such a star.

I never spend much time in school
But I taught ladies plenty.
It’s true I hire my body out for pay, Hey Hey.

I’ve gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs,
Blown up for Raquel Welch.
But when I end up in the hay it’s only hay, Hey Hey.

I might jump an open drawbridge,
Or Tarzan from a vine.
‘Cause I’m the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine.
