‘The Year of Jorts’ Saturday Morning Links

Gotta say, 2010 was a good year for both Beisner and Jorts.

For thsoe of you who can’t get enough of yesterdays game:

-ESPN blogger Eamonn Brennan asks, in light of Josh’s big game, Enes Who? We tell him politely to shut his mouth.

-Apparently there is a new writer at CBS, some guy named Jones, who wrote about how Josh worked his way to legendary status with one great game yesterday.

-Meanwhile Matt’s new coworker Gary Parish took a look at this year’s Kentucky team and how they differ from last.  His conclusion may surprise you.

-Friends of the blog Evan Daniels and Jeff Goodman also give their takes on the game, covering another Harrellson love fest and Kentucky being more talented than Louisville respectively.

For those of you wanting to keep tabs on the football team:

-UKAthletics says that the ‘Wildcats Conclude 2010 With Enthusiasm,’ and given the disorganized nature of their Bowl opponent, it’s not hard to figure out why.

-If you’re looking to get tickets, apparently there are still a lot left.  Come on, go and represent Kentucky.  Plus I hear Birmingham is nice this time of year.  Get your tickets here.

For those of you wanting to lose weight for your New Years Resolution:

This is why you’re fat.  This of it as either temptation or motivation by grossing yourself out.

Happy New Years everyone!

This is a better ‘team’ than last year’s even without the same talent level… The improvement from Maui to now is a credit to Coach Cal and his staff…

It’s been a long time since I considered the Courier Journal to be a trustworthy source of information, like say going back to the Bingham era, but Eric Crawford has a video which really shows the Dirty Birds for what they are.

Leave it to Terrence Jennings. Looks like he could use another Taser shot to get his mind right…

Lots of people were posting yesterday wanting to know where they could see a replay of yesterday’s beatdown in the Chicken Coop. I just saw that Wahoo Sports (Insight channel 524) is showing a replay at 12 noon today. Set your DVR’s.

    5. I failed to notice the play live. I still think that Jennings didn’t have any malicious intent on the play (he was just playing lazy defense and ended up reaching a bit and caught his ankle). I do think that Liggins has a reputation of hitting the floor (which is great for getting 50/50 balls) on numerous play so that’s probably why no issue was made of it otherwise you would have seen the UK coaches be more up in arms about it.

    Leave it be guys.

Who would seriously consider buying tickets to a toilet bowl to see a mediocre at best UK team? It’s basketball season, that’s all that counts in Wildcat country. Go Big Blue.

19.. There seems to be a few fans like you on here who only care about UK basketball and nothing else.Myself, well I’m a UK fan period.. I care and keep up with ALL UK sports teams. We don’t have to agree with some of our coaches play calling, but,in the end we need to stick behind them with our support. To be a true fan,is to stand behind your favorite team in the good times but mostly during the difficult times.I will go to Birmingham and support my team, because the kids who put on that UK uniform deserve it.Supporting the football team helps all other UK teams.Go Big Blue !!!!
