Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

The Week that was

Another exciting week in Kentucky athletics. A few highlights:

(1) Kentucky got beat at home against Tennessee in a game they easily could have won. Chris Lofton confirmed to those that believed in him (which is at least the city of Maysville) that he deserved to be a Kentucky recruit by lighting up Rupp Arena. Rajon Rondo is still trying to figure out how to guard him.

(2) Rumors swirled that Bob Huggins, Shawn Finney, Buzz Peterson, George Raveling, Carrott Top, Ben Roethlisberger and Susan Sarandon would become the new assistant coach at the end of the season when Scott Rigot (who according to some in the UK fanbase is deader than the NHL) supposedly will be let go.

(3) Tubby Smith has been fired, hired by the Charlotte Bobcats, given an ultimatum, hired again by the Kentucky team, given a ten year extension and fired again. He once again, had no comment.

(4) Kentucky lost to Vanderbilt in a game highlighted by the starting point guard’s, key steal and then bricking of two crucial free throws. When asked for comment, Rajon said, “excuse me, my SUV is running….”

All of that occurred and Rob and Matt recorded their first national broadcast for Hoopville radio. During the telecast, fans were shocked when Rob demanded a bottle of Dom Perignon before he would go forward. After being coaxed down, he gave listeners his opinion on the upcoming NCAA tournament by saying, “if Quinn Snyder is not involved, I will not be either….his hair is my hair and we are one.”

Wait till next week…..
