RJ Corman really needs to changes his colors to blue, or least have a few RR cars painted in KY Blue.

I live in my mom’s basement. I am back at work today so I can be a Louisville fan posting on a UK website. I am such a loser and I prove it by making that stupid L sign.

    R. J. Corman could be the key to the future of the state, especially if he starts-up a commuter-style passenger train between Lexington and Louisville. Paint it Kentucky Blue and call it the Big Blue Express, just to spite the Cardinal fans, and watch big blue nation come aboard. Plus, gas prices are once more soaring, so the time is right for a train in the bluegrass region.

14-Would like to see commuter trains but costs would be more than Corman would be willing to spend. Regional studies have already been done on such an endeavor. Without combined funds from Federal/State/Private, it just ain’t going to happen. Current track system can’t handle a commuter train…well it might so long as the commuters don’t mind averaging 20 MPH.

Will Calipari be doing any autographs?

Private enterprise can not be relied on to undertake major infrastructure projects. Corman would operate the trains and the railway, but the actual track and signals would have to be done on state/federal dimes.

And you need to average 45 mph to make a commuter train work – people won’t mind the extra time if it means they don’t have to drive or sit in traffic. Speed is less a commodity with trains than having passengers’ hands and minds free while they are commuting.
