The scouts will be out tonight
Drew Franklin won’t be the only big name in attendance tonight. According to someone named Matt Jones, 19 NBA scouts and 7 NBA general managers will be on hand to watch Josh Harrellson and Brian Williams battle each other in the post. They might even spend some time watching Terrence Jones and Tobias Harris too. For reference, there are typically 2-3 on hand. There were six in Gainesville.

also, people have been giving jones grief for shooting the 3…i’d much rather have him shooting than i would have wall last year. No one gave wall shit and he was terrible from behind the arc.
Yeah, but Wall wasn’t a ballhog. He knew how to get his team involved. That’s why he was in the running for national poy, and Jones is nowhere close to that. He needs to bang down low, pass out of the double team, and rebound. Points will come if he just uses his brain and doesn’t force it like he so often does.
@7 – It’s Not that he can’t, it’s that we don’t need him to. He can shoot, but he is still probably the worst pure shooter on the floor at any given time and the best post scorer.
I think what’s been lost in all of this, is how retarded Matt Jones is.

I’m OK with Jones shooting the 3. I don’t think he over shoots it, he can shoot it, so when he is open he needs to. I’ve found myself yelling for him to at times. Look, his best move is his drive to the basket. He hits one three and forces his man to guard him out there and that drive gets so much easier.
