The Most Blatant Ignored Walk in Basketball History

Like you, I have watched a lot of basketball in my life. And like you, I have seen a lot of plays that I was certain were travels, but yet were ignored by officials. However last night, the Thunder’s DJ Augustin gave us the most blatant no-call walk in the history of basketball. I challenge you to watch this video and not shake your head in shock as Augustin takes one dribble from half court and makes a layup. Notice that the whistle blown is not for a travel, but rather for goaltending, which the officials did see. Put this one in your brain, you may never see a no-call six step travel again in your lifetime.

I only see 4 steps after the bounce, but it’s still too many.

After watching the GIF that shows 5 steps, that @moncrief dude on Twitter actually is defending this as NOT a travel because ” the refs know what they are doing. ” This is why Rome fell.
That was bad but this one is still worse (9 Steps!!!!)

Actually I see this all the time. Just google Kendrick Perkins or Chauncey Billups travel. Corey Brewer had a 7 step travel a year ago. D-Wade has a few bad ones too.
https://youtu.be/hfdrP7QX9PM this one is pretty bad too
Thats one reason why I dont watch pro basketball
I once watched a D1 game where the guy carried the ball above his head with both hands from the three point line to the goal. No call. It was almost a thing of beauty.
What happened to Drew’s post?
Billy G coached…
That wasn’t walking, it was the new Asian chop step….it only looks like walking.
The moonwalk by the pUKe player Josh McRoberts is the worst – but of course its pUKe so its ok

Karma…because it was Montrezl Harrell that got called for the goaltend. 🙂
he got screwed. no question.
that lasted long enough that they could have video-reviewed the play while it was still going on.
Chris Morris had one back in the late 80s early 90s they used to show all the time. Espn had a video a video called don’t walk filmed like a we are the world video.
Yeah, we can pretty much file the Traveling Rule for NBA alongside the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments.
I quit watching pro ball some years ago directly due to the officiating. It is easily the worst of any major sport.
Daaaaaaaaaamn… He traveled farther than UK on its first 2 possessions Saturday night.
(You can either laugh or cry about Saturday, and I chose the former.)
