Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

The Live Blog Cometh. Rivalry Style.

It’s a special day because we only get to personally tell Tennessee how much they suck about 3 times a year. So get your Tennessee jokes together, pick a great username, and come join the gang on the LIVE BLOG at 11:45.

A few notes first:

-Some say this could be a trap game for the Cats. It’s important for them to stay focused, communicate, ignore that hideous orange, and block out the heckling from the UT fans. The way the players and Coach Antiqua were tweeting before the game, they seem pretty confident. Should be a good one.

-Keep an eye on Anthony Davis. He’ll be the one swatting everything that the Volunteers shoot towards the hoop. Davis is 5 blocks away from tying the all-time Kentucky record for blocks, only 18 games into the season. Incredible.

-Mike Strange of GoVolsXtra.com says he’s a hundred percent certain five-star recruit Jarnell Stokes makes his collegiate debut today. So there’s that.

-UK has won 17 of the last 21 meetings against Tennessee. Talk about domination. Let’s make it 18, fellas.

Go Cats.

Odds we see Jarnell Stokes: 82.35%, anybody else have a thought?

Will be interesting how he evolves as a UK rival. A part of me doesn’t think I will despise him like many other UT players from the past. We liked him as a recruit such a shot time ago. Will be interesting to watch it evolve. He is a beast. If he gets in the game, he will need to try to avoid ending up on an Anthony Davis poster when get gets his 5th block today. Go CATS!

ut is playing pretty good right now. Only question would be chemistry. Stokes just got there. Is this the game they want to “see” if or “how” he fits in? A big judgement call.
