Happy National Randall Cobb Day!!!

— Today Randall Cobb became the first NFL player born in the 90s to do an interview with SportsCenter. Cobb made an appearance on the Worldwide Leader this afternoon to talk about his historic debut at Lambeau Field. Cobb told ESPN his coaches weren’t pleased for the first 20 yards of his big return and they told him no more kick returns from that deep in the end zone. Cobb also admitted that he ran the wrong route on his first career TD reception. The way I see it, the coaches called the wrong route and Randall ran the right one.

— According to his Twitter device, Louisville freshman guard Kevin Ware is ineligible until January. For those of you unfamiliar with the Gregorian calendar, the month of January falls one day after Kentucky plays Louisville on December 31st. The Cards are hurting for depth at the guard position and losing Ware for the first half of the season is a huge blow to the team. Just think about how good Louisville could be had they signed Marquis Teag… oh wait.

— 2012 big man DaJuan Coleman can’t wait to visit Lexington. “I’ve heard about it and want to see what it’s like there,” he said. Coleman is scheduled to be in the building for the most exciting women’s scrimmage in all of sports on October 14th. Dajuan just needs to remember that tickets go on sale October 1 and UK has asked everyone to not line up before that Wednesday.

— Kansas coaches are invading Perry Ellis‘ home today to recruit the young man to be a Jayhawk. If you live in the Wichita Heights area of Kansas, feel free to stand on the sidewalk in front of the Ellis home with UK signs. It’s completely legal and encouraged.

— Is anyone else tired of hearing about how Cobb’s big night only exposes UK’s offense last season? It’s like comparing apples to bigger and faster apples. Cobb was great at UK in a Top 25 offense and he’ll be great at Green Bay.  Joker, Hartline, Sanders, Locke, Matthews, the mascot, Tom Leach, or anyone UK related shouldn’t even be part of the discussion today. Enjoy the kid’s epic debut and be happy. Sheesh.

— Drew Franklin was in studio with Matt Jones today on the radio show. He didn’t say anything important but Kige Ramsey did. You should listen.

2 kinda beat me to it…either Drew didn’t write this or he is referring to himself in third person. I’m hoping he’s referring to himself in third person, otherwise I’ll just think of this site as one big lie! #betrayal
