Prior to the season, Louisville fans had the nerve to say Peyton Siva is just as good, if not better, than John Wall. *Pause for laughter* I thought I wou… *Pause for more laughter* Excuse me. I thought I would check up on the two freshmen as their showdown approaches and see what they’re up to.
If you’re reading this, you’re still laughing and you’re well aware of John Wall’s accomplishments. Every sportswriter in America from Andy Katz, Jeff Goodman, and Jason King to soup, mocha, and Carruth’s Entourage are talking about him. He’s been on ESPN’s First Take (Jemele Hill wasn’t present) and a YouTube Sports interview is in the works. But, you know all of this. What some of you don’t know is the other side of the argument.
Peyton Siva, if you’re as good as Wall, what have you been up to? I see you’re averaging an impressive 5.3 points and 2.4 assists per game. No biggie, Wall is only averaging 18 and 7. I’m sure your numbers will increase when the competition lessens. Stetson, Oral Roberts, Charlotte, and Western Carolina are great defensive teams.
Other than that, what else has been going on? You have Twitter, right?
Don’t sweat it, Peyton. The glory, the fame, and exciting things to do on a Friday night will come soon. Until then, I’m sure you could find a decent seat for Disney on Ice at Freedom Hall. Also, my little cousin told me Build-a-Bear was a lot of fun. Anyway, just hang in there, buddy. You’re just as good as John Wall, remember?
