The Goose is Golden and Happy Father’s Day

Unfortunately, I was unable to make the trip down to wonderful Paducah to see my pops on Father’s Day this year. So in his honor, we’re going to take a look back at one of the all-time great performances in Kentucky history. My dad was at the 1978 Championship game when Jack Givens, his favorite player, torched Duke for 41. Since I can’t be there to give the old man a proper Father’s Day gift on Father’s Day, letting him relive his favorite game will have to do for now. And don’t worry dad. This isn’t just an excuse to get out of getting you a real present. There’s one of those coming when I make the trip, and I’m not just referring to the lessons I’m going to teach you on the golf course. Enjoy the Goose and to all the dads out there, especially mine, have a great Father’s Day.
