Way to go Cal & Cats!
In all of our excitement lets also thank these young men for not only playing so hard and together all year but for representing the UofK so well. These are great players but also great young men. I know TJ had an issue but is young and hopefully learned. These guys have been people I am proud to say they went to UK. They will also, in all probability, continue to represent the UofK very well. So from the BBN to each member of the 2011/2012 Kentucky Basketball CHAMPIONS….Thank you very much for all you have done on and off the court.

This team has been a blessing to Big Blue Nation! They have unselfishly put their individual goals aside to accomplish something very special, win a national championship. They are one family, one heart, one goal…they are UK and all UK is about…they will give all they have to achieve their ultimate goal…bring #8 home to the University of Kentucky! This will drive a lot of fans crazy but I wish we would have gone out in style with a min. of a 15 point victory. They won the 2nd half by 6 points as we have done before this game. We just don’t have that “killer instinct” to put anyone away TG for Davis’s boards because otherwise Robinson kicked his ass. Also, hard to believe that Miller went out with only 5 pts. We could not have scored more than 30 some % in 2nd half and yes you have to credit KU’s defense for some of that, but we did not have it the 2nd half. We just can’t blow anyone out but we did get #8 and TG for. I am as happy for Cal as I am the team and the BBN.
that was great! looking forward to november. also hoping we get 1 of these guys back.

I remember the 78 championship team. They were focused on their NC all year just like this team. This team in my opinion is far superior to 78. Who knows what next years team will bring.

Tonight was awesome. Wins over IU, Little Brother and KU in the tournament couldn’t have been scripted any better. Liked Cal’s comments to Andy Katz about how his next goal was to go undefeated. #gr8ness
It feels so, so, so, so good to be back on top. Love KY and love the Cats. Also, thank you Matt for asking Darius a question during the post-game press conference. My wife and I were sitting there waiting for SOMEONE to throw some love toward the senior who deserves it as much or more than anyone, and when it was a KSR person who came through, neither of us were surprised, but we were both pleased.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
In 77-78, I was freshmen living in Kirwan II. I will never forget some of the team members coming to Kirwan Tower (23rd floor?) and speaking to us about the upcoming season that turned out to Championship #5 under Joe B’s leadership. This year, my daughter is a freshmen living in Keenland Hall, just 100 yards away from a great group of young men who brought home #8.
I am hoping a grandchild will be there for #12 and break UCLA’s record!
