The Cats Defeat the Cocks 79-64

I’d say that was a pretty good start to the SEC season. The Cats just improved to 15-1 and rolled the Cocks 79-64. After what had to be the best ‘hard-to-watch’ first half of Kentucky basketball this season, the Cats spent the second half reminding fans and critics alike why they are the class of the league. UK shot 59% from the field, 45.5% from behind the arc and 72.7% from the charity stripe. Carolina was just 39% from the field, 27% from three land and 80% from the stripe.

Terrence Jones remarked right after the game that he told his teammates that they have to bring it every night during league play or they are going to “get beat.”

I’d say they listened. Go Cats.

Jones is back IMO. Lamb will be okay. And I told all you stupid fans that was hating on Teague that he wil be okay and haha he showed up. Only disappointment today was Darius but I believe in him as well. Go big blue!!

I enjoyed the game, but South Carolina made 46 points in the 2nd-Half, with 18 in the 1st. Our defense just went to sleep, and it felt like an up-and-down streetball game. Good t see Jones beast up!

That was a nice start. We definately met the eye test. It felt like we beat them by 25. We would have if it wasn’t for their opportune threes. I’m glad to see Teague and Terrance show up. Despite everyone elses grumblings, I knew they would be just fine. Go CATS…..kill em!!!!!!

    Darius has reached his potential.

He’s a sometime guy. He’ll never be the consistent leader of the team. He’ll never consistently shine. He’ll do what he does and that’s about it. Hopefully, he’ll harness that sometimeyness and release it when its needed.

Jones did good. Love to see him rebounding more.

Never thought I’d see the day, but UL fans are calling for Pitino’s head, lots of “fire Pitino” threads on their message board. Between the skanks at Italian restaurants, the early NCAA exits and losing back-to-back games at home, I do believe he’s worn out his welcome in Louisville. I don’t see many wearing those “Got Pitino?” shirts any more. Shame.

Darius needs to man up and make a commitment to his team that he will play to the best of his ability. He is softer than the softer side of Sears.

What’s all this hate for Kyle Macy? The guy is a UK legend. His jersey is in the rafters at Rupp. I have always liked him and felt that his analysis was sound. Again, what’s the problem?

Well Well Well, Last week we had the Teague bashers on here commenting on who they thought he was and this week it appears he has been replaced with Darius Miller. My my, how soon we forget, yet how quick we are to critize. How on earth can some of you be true blue fans whenever all you want to do is critize who has a bad game. Does every single player on this team have to have a DD every time out? Seriously, you should take up another hobby besides watching Kentucky Basketball because it is obvious you don’t know a damn thing about it!! Either enjoy the ride this year and appreciate who Cal is putting on the floor or go piss up a rope and pull for another team, please!!!!!!

Sorry to say it but Syracuse looks like a team that could beat us or anyone else right now by 20 points. They look more NBA and we have been looking like high school with outrageously poor offensive rebounding, inability to guard the three and players simply disappearing from one game to the next. We have tons of work to do before this season ends…AND expect more than a couple of conference defeats.

    41. Syracuse gave up 47 points in the second half to Marquette a team that got beat by 20 by LSU and Vandy. Quit overreacting to what you percieve to be the truth.
