The Cats are back on top

Whether the midseason polls really matter is up for debate, but no one is arguing that it doesn’t feel good to be back on top. Kentucky moved up to No. 1 in the country this week for the second time this season.┬áKentucky received all 31 first place votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll and 61 of 65 first place votes in the AP poll.

Missouri is No. 2 and #LouisvilleDoesntExist in the AP.

Go Cats.

    4. They tied with the Badgers for total number of points (awarded based on votes of coaches). I think the real explanation needs to be given to the fact that Louisville even received votes.

personally, I think The 3rd Street Chickenhawks deserve to be in the Top 25. Their team body fat % alone is reason enough.

Is Pitino threatening to turn Sypher loose on some coaches if they don’t vote for the filthy Cards? How else can one explain them getting any votes?

Thanks for helping our strength of schedule Louisville (sarcasm). Call me crazy, but I’d rather see Louisville ranked in the top 25 as opposed to not being ranked if for no other reason than the fact that it makes our win look even better.

SEC West has the top two football teams. SEC East has the top two basketball teams.

ON the coach’s poll I see it this way. The more teams in a conference the more votes certain teams recieve. Looserville is in dire straights and you have the Bohiems, Calhouns, and the rest of that bunch will vote to try and keep their conference as relevent as they can. Or they all meet at Poricini’s and have a beer and a skank!

    15) Remains to be seen if he’ll recruit at Missouri. Right now he’s got a lot of upperclassmen who were primed for success. Not quite on a level with what Tubby took over here, obviously, but he’ll have to prove he can recruit for success in the SEC.

    17) I agree. But I do think he’s a good enough coach to keep Mizzou competitive/in the top 25.

    Coaches Poll:

Louisville and Wisconsin would both get drilled, and I mean DRILLED by Florida State. It’s always comical to see the AP get it right and the Coaches get it wrong. I mean do coaches not realize that Louisville can barely win a game these days while FSU has beaten UNC AND DUKE in the last week?

for thoe of you talking about RPI help from Loserville. We don’t need their help. We are doing just fine by beating everyone they put in front of us.

You all act like the coaches actually fill out the polls for the coaches poll. Some graduate assistant or member of the training staff do it. The instructions are to vote our conference high and make up the rest.
