The Calipari Manifesto
Coach Cal is getting a lot of grief from the haters today about his string of philosophical recruiting tweets from this morning. However, I think they are worth defending (surprise). Calipari’s perspective on putting the kids and their future first pays dividends for not only the players, but the schools, the fans, and all the UK coaches. Let him break it down for you via twitter:
You want to know why players are picking Kentucky? Here’s what I think: Their families trust us with their child. They know we’re about education and they know we’re going to do what we say. They know we have their child’s interest on the forefront of our minds. It’s players first. Players know they are going to get better on and off the court … and if they work hard and play for their teammates, they can reach their potential and their dreams. Lastly, we’re not trying to recruit kids to our style of play. We’re recruiting kids to try to do everything we can to make them better. It’s more about them being the best player they can be than playing a certain style. All of our players get better, and that’s what they’re looking for. Bottom line, they know our #SuccessRate.

Isn’t this a tautology? By allowing their child to play at UK, they’re trusting UK with their child. Also, how does this differentiate UK from literally every school whose players have parents?

How come you guys haven’t mentioned that Derek Kief is announcing his decision tomorrow via Twitter? Its down to Bama n UK. Heard that he is struggling with his decision and that he has contacted UK. He is a big time recruit and I’m surprised you guys haven’t made a post about it. He could potentially be the best recruit so far.

3. You exactly right and without BBN reminded of these things, primarily by writers from KSR, the fans are out of the game. Kief needs to hear UK support before his huge decision and Berrios announced we are in his top 5 and should be hearing how much we care about it. KSR all your new post are good filler but remember what matters and the role you play.

I personally don’t like the one and dones but it works for Cal so why shoud’nt he go with it? There aren’t many coaches that have the capacity to rebuild their team every year.
I don’t think that coach Cal likes the one done,and that he is on record saying that he do not like thAT rule,but this is what we ask coach to do,to turn our bb program around,over night.Coach turn it around over launch,so be happy shit the fu…up,and just enjoy the ride,let the nay say hate.Happy Father Day coach Cal.
