The Big Blue Road Trip: San Diego

After another six-hour drive, we have made it out to the west coast. We watched the South Carolina game in San Diego, at a joint called Bayside Landing. It was about eighty degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

Bayside Landing is more of a breakfast/brunch spot than a typical restaurant/bar. The club was looking for a spot to watch the early games, which are at 9am here in California. Bayside Landing had a bunch of TV’s and wasn’t crowded that early and we had a good time watching the game there.

There were about fifteen to twenty UK fans that came out to cheer on the Cats. It was actually a really cool experience eating breakfast and drinking coffee during the game.

Another plus to an early game at Bayside Landing is its proximity to the beach. After the Cats won, we walked about ten minutes to Pacific Beach. There were people playing volleyball and riding kayaks while we shot a couple of interviews in the sand.

San Diego was awesome, but, as always, we must go on. Our next stop is Northern California in San Francisco!
