The 2014 Kentucky Football Big Board

Coach Stoops’ job recruiting is worth more than a high five. After last week’s insanity it’s time to see how the 2014 football team is shaping up, with a few notes below that will make your head spin faster than Linda Blair.

– Class of 2014 ranked as high as #2 nationally by Rivals; UK’s best finish prior to Stoops was #36 in 2006.

– With 17 commitments as of today, that’s 14 more than this time last year.

– There are five 4-star players in the Class of 2014, eight total in the Stoops era. Joker Phillips and Rich Brooks both averaged one 4-star player a year during their tenure.

– Mark Stoops vowed in his opening press conference that he will “keep the best players home” while attacking his home state of Ohio. He currently has received 11 from Ohio and 5 from Kentucky.

Know what I noticed about this list? There’s nobody on the target list that has fewer than 3 stars to his name… If you want to be a Cat, you gotta be SEC caliber now!!

    How about Cobble and Rumph?

It’s Elijah Sindelar and I play football with him. I say he’ll end up a 3 star possibly a 4 star. However he is slightly overated, he is a freak athlete but he’s not a team player, he’s got a bad attitude and isn’t good in the locker room. Your QB is suppose to be your leader and he comes up short in that department. He gets a little to much credit. He’s good but Jalen Boyd our running back doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves and takes a lot of attention off of Sindelar. Maby he can change but at this point I would rather Kentucky get Jalen Boyd.

P.S: Sindelar is an Ohio State fan so if they offer him it’ll be hard for Kentucky to get him.

Kentucky has not offered Fant and probably won’t unless they miss out on all the other WRs we have offered. So, I would be very hesitant to call him a target. You’ve done much better than this Mr. Roush.

If you notice he didn’t include any seniors, so I’m assuming that when he says returning he is speaking of 2014. GBB!!!

  26. #12?!?! Seriously
    12:28 am June 18, 2013 Permalink

You can’t be serious. Sindelar will be ranked higher than what you think. Without him Caldwell wouldn’t win half as many games. The Boyd kid is really good too, just needs to get bigger. Word is that sindelar is leaving Caldwell for another high school. We will see how good your team will be without him. I hate to say it, but nothing close to a state contender.

OK so even if this is for 2014 this post is riddled with errors.

Borden is a junior so he will be back

Heard is technically returning since he’ll practice with the team all season.

    One if the blaylocks transferred

Eatmon-Nared is a senior this year etc.

Fant went to UK’s camp the weekend before last and will commit to UK in a heartbeat if he gets the offer.

The Sindelar kid, WHOOPS. I guess I’m bitter because his team stopped my brother from advancing to the State Championship last year. Haters Gon Hate

And there are a bunch of people left off the list bc this is for the 2014 season. There aren’t that many SRs, but still had to take off some of the best (Williamson, Cobble, Rumph)

Don’t rule out some in state kids that may be of interest at the skill positions as the season draws closer. I have heard that some have had some private workouts with Coach Brown and Coach Mainord at various camps and have impressed. Much will depend upon how the chips fall with the big board names.

Well I feel like I can say that now that I’ve graduated. And by the way #28 I’m the starting WR and got offered from local schools including Cambellsville, Georgetown, Pikeville, and preferred walk-on to EKU, WKU, and Murray State

#32 big deal. My grandmother could play at Campbellsville–the schools that “offered” you don’t even give out true athletic scholarships. Sounds like someone is jealous that Sindelar is big time and you’re. . . well. . . NOT!! Sindelar made you look a lot better than you really are A real piece of work you are to throw your QB under the bus like that. You sound like a terrible teammate and I bet you’re back in Princeton by the end of September.
