Terrence Jones makes Wooden watch list

I hate to interrupt your Enes Kanter/DeAndre Daniels news hunt but we have some congratulations to dish out today.  Terrence Jones was one of 30 players named to the John R. Wooden Award midseason watch list. Jones is one of two freshmen on the list with Ohio State’s Jared “Enes Kanter ate my lunch” Sullinger as the other.  A Kentucky player has never won the award.

Congrats to Terrence for the honor but we still need the big fella to step it up.  He’s capable of much more than what he’s shown us in the past few games.

Go Cats.

    I love me some Jorts, he’s gonna get overlooked the rest of the season and that is gonna helps us in the end. Remember that.

    I think Jones will come around, and I really hope the tourney showing in hawaii wasn’t the exception, he has the potential to destroy anyone that steps on the floor. But potential means crap if you don’t do realize it.

    Jones does fine one on one. He needs to play better when he gets doubled-teamed (he did great against UL). That will come with experience. But, I hope it’s soon because he’s going to get double-teamed a lot in SEC play.

    Jorts got screwed? I love me some Jorts, but BRANDON KNIGHT is who is REALLY getting screwed here! He’s got better numbers than TJ (not that I don’t think TJ deserves to be on the list…he does), and frankly, he has just as much, if not more of an impact on his team. How many games would we have lost this year without Knight running the show?
