Terrence Jones’ Locker Room Motivation

You’ve got it all wrong.  Yeah, Terrence Jones has a picture of Trey Thompkins in his locker, but that’s not what is motivating the 6’8 forward going into today’s game against Georgia.  If you look closely (not towards the bottom, that’s just disgusting) Terrence Jones has a list of all of the former players who wore #10 in his locker. Better yet, Terrence Jones has Lukasz Obrzut’s name posted on the side of his locker.

That’s right, Woo is the real inspiration behind Terrence’s game. So, according to a little thing called transitive property, Terrence Jones is also motivated by KSR podcasts. That means “booty-do”, “beats and pisses”, and “rewinding” are all part of Terrence Jones’ vocabulary.

That explains it all.

The KSR Podcast Train gets back on track this weekend.  We’re recording at The Crossroad on Southland Drive tonight at 9:00 if you want to stop by.  Terrence Jones won’t be there.  Neither will Woo, unfortunately.  But we promise to talk about both.

Go Cats.

I have two tickets to the game today but have had a sudden change in plans. I live in Louisville and will gladly sell my 2 tickets for 50$. Anyone interested?

obrzut sucked. that type of recruit from tubby ruined our program for 5 years. don’t just blame billy g. and call him a “drunk”. at least he knew how to recruit. he took our sorry ass team to a 12-4 sec record his first year. it’s funny how soon you all forget how tubby killed our program. keep on lovin’ on obrzut idiots. i don’t care how nice or funny he is…he sucked.

By the look of that list, it’s probably a good guess that everyone has a list of players who wore their number hanging in their locker.

i mightve just missed something, but why does he have a list of players who wore the number 10 when he is number 3?

11…Kinda adds to the dysfunction of the lockers bottom too…LOL

Perhaps when Jones gets his locker cleaned up, the #10’s stuff removed, his game will become consistent and cleaned up as well. just sayin’

Couldn’t agree more with #5. Sheray Thomas, Brandon Stockton, Shegari, Woo, Adam Williams, Bernard Cote, Mike Williams, Jared Carter and the list goes on. If somebody wants to write a best-selling book, call it the “Fall of an Empire…The Tubby Smith Era”

12-i actually respect tubby alot for his coaching and his ethics, etc…but what happened to our recruiting? it was criminal what happened to our program. we went from two overall #1 seeds and a near final four berth in ’05 to 8-seed, 8-seed, 11-seed, NIT. inexcusable. and billy g. had to play with tubby’s players. and nationally, when tubby snuck off to minnesota like a thief in the night without a press conference or any official announcement thanking the fans for packing rupp with 23000 plus EVERY game, uk fans were subjected to “experts” on espn and cbs and wherever talking about how irrational we are as a fanbase. that we expect too much. do you think alabama football fans expect to compete for national titles, or are they happy with mediocrity? what about north carolina basketball. ask matt doherty if they tolerate losing. they fired one of their own. we didn’t even fire tubby. he left on his own. the whole thing just makes me sick. the best thing that happened to tubby smith was the hiring of billy gillispie. tubby gets a free pass, but true fans realize what happened to our program over the last 4-5 years of his coaching tenure. i get tired of defending our fanbase and myself for expecting to be highly competitive every year. no i don’t expect to go to the final four every year. but, i do expect to have a competitive top 16 team every year that is in the mix. that’s what duke, carolina, kansas, alabama football, florida football, ohio st. football, etc. expects every year. and if it doesn’t happen, guess what?…the coach gets fired. ask michigan and rich rodriguez.
sorry for the rant. huge game today.
    go big blue!

I just have a hunch that Brandon Knights locker looks like something out of Better Homes & Garden.

Jorts locker is like a Levi-Srauss rack from JC Penney.

Kanters prolly has like, Mark Emmerett WANTED posters.

Polson’s has several TEEN magazine cut outs taped everywhere.

17 – You have a point with Tubby and recruiting and yes he slacked off towards the end and left UK. Yes Billy G had a 12-4 record his first year but it was clearly evident, he lost his players in the 2nd season with a Bob Knight like mentality. Mark it down, if Billy was still kept on, Liggins and Miller and Patterson were gone. Meeks never liked him as well. Boom that is why we had a dysfunctional second season with him. And Billy G was a decent recruiter not a good one. Otherwise our roster would be GJ Vilarino as PG, Dakotah Euton as PF, and Ross Miller who is not eligible anyway. Basically Div 2 talent and Orton would have not stayed another season, so I dont really know where you are going with the whole Billy G thing. Personally UK did him a favor by firing him. He is getting his life back from all the drinking that consumed him.

    17- what happened to recruiting???
Tubby recruited Rondo, Crawford, Bradley, Morris, Patterson, Meeks all at the end of his tenure. Gillispie on the other hand had Dakota Euton and a 12 year old… I guess when you look at that, Gillispie was clearly the most superior recruiter that Kentucky has ever had…
