Terrence Jones goes off in his first NBA Preseason Game

Terrence Jones made quite the impression in his NBA Preseason debut last night, coming off the bench to score a team-high 20 points in the Rockets’ win over Oklahoma City. Jones also racked up six rebounds and had a long three to beat the third quarter buzzer. Watch his highlights above.

Teammate and fellow Cat Patrick Patterson started for the Rockets and put up 10 points and 3 rebounds. On the other side of the ball, DeAndre Liggins had a huge outing for the Thunder, posting 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. (UPDATE: Daniel Orton did not play)

Here’s a recap of how our other former Cats fared last night:
Brandon Knight (Pistons): 14 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists
Chuck Hayes (Kings): 6 points, 7 rebounds
DeMarcus Cousins (Kings): 21 points, 9 rebounds

Teach ’em bout Kentucky, boys.

You guys do realize it’s NFL season, right? The most popular sport in America. Maybe you should talk about that, instead of NBA Preseason games.

Gotta love KSR’s new “Twinning” shirts… Steal someone elses idea, just like the 3goggles. Trailblazer originated the 3 goggles (http://www.blazersedge.com/2011/3/14/2051469/wsj-3-goggles-a-nationwide-phenomenon) but UK claims they did. Mike “The Situation” from Jersey Shore originated the #Twinning statement, now BBN adopts it as their own. How original!

Jones and Liggins both looked like players, Liggins even drew a charge on Jones in the lane, they just sort of looked at each other for a couple seconds then went on their way. The guys doing the game on TV like Jones and also like the fact that he is a team player, they also said that if you come from Kentucky you have to play for the team and not just to get yours. Good stuff.

@ Cardz – You must have a miserable life to sit and check a rival schools site from your mothers basement all day.

    3) Yesterday was wednesday idiot. There were no NFL games to talk about. Besides they do when UK fans have a rooting interest in the game.

I truly believe Terrence Jones will be the best NBA player from this draft class as long as he continues to mature.

    1. kentucky doesn’t have an NFL team. it’s not our fault that louisville fans don’t want to talk about basketball outside of basketball season.

    2. it doesn’t matter who came up with the “twinning” term. kentucky fans can now use it. can louisville fans?

Cardz sounds like a sad jealous man with a huge can of haterade. I dont care what time of year it is, that was an awesome clip to watch. Im sure any uofl fan would love to see an awesome highlight like that of an uofl athlete. Than was more exciting than 90% of the plays in the NFL anyways. The NFL maybe greater than the NBA, but as far as highlights go, I think bball highlights are much funner to watch than any sport.

If T-Jones can get a consistent 3pt shot down he will be a monster in the NBA…Dude is quick for his size, strong as an ox, has a mean streak in him and big hops, all he lacks is a really good long range jumper on a really consistent basis. And outside of Boogie & P-Pat he’s had the most NBA ready body coming out of college from all the guys UK has put in the NBA the past few years. As long as he keeps his head out of his ass he could be in the league for a lot of years.

TJ is the ultimate team player. He sacrificed scoring last year to be a champion. Houston got a steal drafting him this late in the first round. A lot of teams are going to look back at the draft and say how did we mess this up. Go Cats!

Cuzz will have a big year and should be in the running for the All-Star game. BBN will have to help in the voting, but his scoring/rebounding numbers should increase.

Whatzamatter, Cardz, are you mad because Earl Clark (what was his nickname, E5 or something ridiculous like that) didn’t have a good game? I honestly couldn’t think of any other former Cards players to mention. Are there any? [email protected]
