Tennessee Football’s Twitter has still not accepted loss to Georgia State

Yesterday was a great day to be a Kentucky fan in a lot of ways. While it wasn’t pretty at first, the Cats pulled away in the end for an opening season win over Toledo.

The SEC East (minus Georgia) really struggled. Tennessee lost to Georgia State. Missouri lost to Wyoming. Tennessee lost to Georgia State. South Carolina lost to North Carolina. Tennessee lost to Georgia State. Vanderbilt lost to Georgia. Did I mention Tennessee lost to Georgia State?

The meltdown of Vol fans on social media has been absolutely fantastic. One Tennessee postgame show lasted throughout most of the night with fans continuously losing their minds about the game.

This goes without mentioning everyone’s least favorite Tennessee fan (which is really a tough moniker to win), Clay Travis, who gave a live reaction to the last few minutes of the game.

The best part about all of this? Is that it isn’t even the biggest meltdown… or rather lack thereof from yesterday. That title is claimed by the official Tennessee Football twitter page, who as of the time of publishing, still have yet to post a final score. In fact, the last thing they posted to their Twitter was this tweet:

So to put it simply, if someone just followed their Twitter to get updates, they would have no idea what happened in the last 12 minutes of the game. That is the goal of this post. To help share with #VolTwitter that their beloved team lost to Georgia State; a team that won only two games a year ago.

I can’t share a post about yesterday’s games without posting my favorite tweet from the day:

Go Cats.

It’s hilarious. But we really must beat them this year for complete validation of their misery

YES. We MUST defeat this pathetic team. Got em at home and we owe them big time for last year’s debacle in Knoxville. It’s a huge understatement that losing to these turds would be a missed opportunity.

Smokey has entered the transfer portal…Lol! His transfer may be approved as long as he’s not planning on transferring to UK.

I’d cut ’em some slack. It’s been almost 3 years, and Democrats STILL haven’t accepted Hillary’s loss as well as they could have.

We accept Hillary’s loss due to the electoral but a plus almost 3 millions votes so by popular vote she whipped ass. We don’t acknowledge 45 as our president because he’s a crook, racist, etc but my question is WTF has this got to do with football? Not s damn thing so go to a political site if you want to spew ignorance.

If NCAA would let him transfer to UK, we can dress him in Blue and just call him SMOKE after our next great RB.

Inigo, there is no reason to bring politics into this thread and if you believe being Democrat or Republican makes you better than the other the you are part of the problem. When you die is your headstone going to say here lies a great Democrat or Republican? Stop bringing politics into every conversation.

My point was the NCAA will never approve a transfer to UK even if Smokey’s is transferring to be closer to his/her puppies.

While some of this is comical, we haven’t beaten them in a while and have to play them this year like they are Alabama. I don’t like to laugh at their misfortune knowing where UK has been. Georgia state is a talented team. I watched part of that game and was glad we weren’t playing them.

2017 we beat them. We have not done well vs them of late but has not been a while since we beat them.

One really big difference in UT football and UK football is that until recently UT has had a very successful football program for really long time. The history of the two programs are not apples to apples.

But they made fun and laughed at you after every loss! Not just when they beat us. Let em suffer,

And GA State won 2 games last year, no way they improved that much for them to be the better team. They were 25 point underdogs for a reason. If so UT will not win a game as this had to be one of the easiest on the schedule. My guess is the players and coaches thought they just had to show up and get the win. UT looked like they did not prepare at all. Ga State actually did show up and wanted the game and just out played UT on that day but no way they are the better team in a series or UT is done.

The only time I am happy about and SEC team losing is if we beat them.

People forget how banged up we were in that game. Our QB and half the defense weren’t 100%

I’ll laugh, after we win. They did kinda beat us last year so…. but this is still hilarious

@magicat13 displayed your blindness and pure stupidity. I agree that this is not a political b/s site so keep them elsewhere. I recommend you and everyone to stop watching your bias sites and study yourself on the continued health of the American economy. That is what matters.
