Tee Martin to stick around?

A couple of reputable college football websites are saying that Tennessee is expected to fill the wide receivers position internally. Darin Hinshaw will be moved from quarterbacks coach to wide receivers coach and offensive coordinator Jim Chaney will take on the quarterback coaching duties. If that is the case, then our man Tee Martin, who was reportedly interesting in hearing from the Vols, will be sticking around in Lexington.

*** Sigh of relief***

I hardly think given the state of our program that any move would be a demotion.

What has he done for our program? I do not see that he is a good coach, his players don’t produce, his recruits are still 3 star athletes. Why is he so vital to our program.

    Hey 7,

It’s the misguided fans like you that want Joker to stay and probably continued to go to games and that is why Kentucky will never have a quality football team.

You also probably supported flubby and his ilk as well because you simply do not knowe what you are watching on the court or field!

Kentucky basketball lost an entire decade with tubby, then Gillispie. Now we will lose another year with Joker.

    Thanks 7!

#9 – I agree. What has he accomplished during his time at Kentucky that qualifies him as a good coach? Is it because he is such a good guy like Joker? All I saw were dropped passes all season by the receivers.

he NEVER coached WRs before this year. The simple fact Tee Martin won a NC at UT, and is a coach in the position UT has open, and he’s not even being offered the spot, speaks VOLUMES!

Sorry! Im sure this is negative and will be removed. So…Go Joker, we love you! (is that better?)

9 see your one of the dumb football fans stars dont mean nothing cobb was not a 4 or 5 star player. a 3 star could be 4 star were getting the best player then we ever had but the football dumb people dont know that

I really had/have no opinion if he comes or goes. He is supposed to be good for our recruiting so that is a plus. But… show me someone that he has recruited that contributed? He’s the WR coach and I’ve read that they mainly recruit their positions. Show me someone he’s brought in at WR that can catch a damn football. I’ll give him a pass this year because those guys were freshmen and maybe not ready but damn it’s got to get better next year.

9 11 and 12 stop the hate. Bama offered him a job UT is a mess and not a good move. Tee is loyal to Joker he would still be happily coaching Highschool if not for Joker!!! Tee has only been in the program for two years waite and see what our wideouts look like in two years. We lost Cobb and Matthews who lead the SEC in TDs. Tee will help get talent like Collins who turned down Bama to be a Cat!!

What poor football program comes to Kentucky looking for a football coach? I don’t understand these rumors about Tee Martin. Our receivers were horrible, and I don’t see him pulling in any big time contributors.

14 he recruited josh clemons who Alabama wanted but he got him over alabama. he brought in darryl collins a wr that some big name school was looking at him who was going to start last year but got hurt a few weeks before the season started and this year were up for a couple big name wr some people dont know that cause that dont keep up with football recruiting like they do basketball

If Fulmer gets job at Kansas, watch out. Tee might be interested in coaching with his former HC, with whom he is very loyal.

Alabama interviewed him, but he was never offered the job, big difference there. Do you really think he would pass up an opportunity to coach under Saban to stay with Phillips? Just the fact he was interviewed for A Alabama job looks better on a resume than what he has done for Univ of Kentucky… Tell LSU and Alabama that 4-5 star athletes don’t mean anything, Cobb is 1 in 50,000, that’s why he is considered the best football player to ever wear the Blue and White

Did anybody that doesn’t write for this site really believe that there was a chance that UT might hire him to fill that position? I’m not saying he is a bad coach but we really don’t have a lot to determine if he is or isn’t at this point. All we have is a season in which the position he coaches performed very poorly. Why would UT want that? I realize UT was very bad this year but they have had enough of a history of success and a big enough football budget that they can be a bit choosy about who they hire.

29- I am sure he and all other coaches get into coaching for
Invites to the BBVA Compass bowl, who would want BCS bowls and national
Championships. Tuscaloosa didn’t want him… Fact is that we know him because he won the national championship at UT, the nation knows the name because he did what Manning couldn’t do (win a championship at UT. He has done Nothing as a coach for Us and I don’t think he is putting on the pads for the blue and white. I would love to see Joker gone, until then I’ll continue to bleed blue, love BBN while watching mediocre football.

36 – That’s what we heard all last Spring and Summer, except the name was Newton, not Towles. We were going to win 8 or 9 games and go to a big time bowl – even though we had lost our QB, top 3 running backs, top two wide receivers, our punt returners and kickoff returners – becasue Joker and his staff were such incredible recruiters and developers of talent.

Everyone brings up Tubby, but boy his first year he was the shit , even though it wasn’t his Team. Have you stopped to think “maybe” if Joker and his Staff can get their Team established things “may” change. Quit your crying sweethearts and BACK THE BLUE and if you can’t do that cheer for the cards loosers!!! GO CATS!!!
