Tee Martin is sticking around

Prior to the UK’s game with Georgia, Joker Phillips rallied the local media together and announced that Tee Martin will remain at UK and has been promoted to “Passing Game Coordinator”.  Phillips called Martin “one of the biggest recruits we have landed”, perhaps an understatement when considering Alabama was the team rumored to be calling for his services.  Martin’s retainment and promotion is a positive sign for the future of Joker’s “Operation: Win” movement, as well as great news for W.T. Young Library, which now has “Screen Plays for Dummies” back on the shelves after four years of waiting for it to be returned.

Damn I thought I would somehow be first hours after this was posted.

This is big news, people. I guess people were actually watching the game and not sitting on the internet though, which is also big news in its own right.

    Great retainer by UK!

Great news! Just yesterday it was a foregone conclusion that he would be at Alabama. Very big from a recruiting standpoint, guess we will find out of he can coach this year. We have to break in new starters at QB And WR. Moss to King sounds like the surest bet for success. It will also be interesting to see who emerges at RB. Don’t give up hope yet on Phillips this is the year that will determine the direction of the program.

Oregon ran screen passes all the way to the BCS championship! The screen beat UGA in 09 and has been a great tool for the Cats!

i knew something had happened because he was at rupp about 2 hours before the game with about 5 or 6 recruits going into kentucky corner. don’t think he would have been interested in recruiting if he was going to bama.

Passing game coordinator ? ….co-defensive coordinators…..Joker is coming up with as many unheard of positions as Obama and his Czars.

Somebody please tell him that he’s not at Tennessee anymore and that if he is a true-blue Wildcat, he needs to change his first name from “Tee” to “Kay.”

Wasn’t Tee an option, mostly running, quarterback. Anyway I am glad he’s staying. What about the Eastern High School kid?

Not a chance he was offered by Bama!

Where are all the posts that Kentucky wouldn’t pay Tee Martin enough? Thank you for staying. Let’s hear it. I posted right here that Bill Curry was the 20th highest paid coach in the country when he started. And before David Cutcliffe went to Tennessee, Kentucky’s coaching staff was the highest paid in the SEC. Need to find something else to complain about and I’m confident you will.

No way Bama offered… he never had a chance to decline!
