Tee Martin is probably considered one of the most valuable assets to the Kentucky coaching staff behind Joker himself and Randy Sanders. All you have to do is look at the way Kentucky fought Alabama to keep Martin by making him a priority within the football program. Tee’s contributions can be found on the field certainly, but where his ability shines the most is in the recruiting department. Martin is a former National Champion quarterback as well as NFL quarterback, two things that recruits have to admire. On top of that, everyone that talks to Tee for more than a minute comes away impressed with his knowledge and his personality. So why are we getting onto him?
Well, Tee made a trip back to Tennessee last night, and some of his comments were more than a bit troubling. From an article titled Tee Martin’s time at Tennessee still is ‘special,’ (troubling enough as it is,) comes this quote – “Tennessee was my last visit, and when the plane came over the Smoky Mountains, I felt this was the place for me.” Excuse me Tee, but you work for Kentucky now. Tennessee is not, and never was, the place for you. More accurately, you should be disappointed that you ended up at UT instead of Kentucky, and your biggest regret in life is that you brought a national championship to those low down dirty snitches.
Nah, I’m just messing with you. Tee is a great member of the staff and he’s welcome to hold fond memories of Tennessee football (and you too Randy Sanders,) so long as none of them have been from the past two years. On this year’s edition of the UK Wildcats, Tee believes they can be very good this season, adding this “I like how we feel as a team right now. The players have confidence, they are going the extra mile and doing the things on their own, and we return 10 starters on defense.”

Seriously though, Tee, if you could do one thing for us we’d be forever grateful. Please end the streak.
