Teague makes it official with the Bulls

More than a month after being drafted, Marquis Teague is finally making it official, signing his rookie contract with the Chicago Bulls.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Teague will make $857,000 in his first year, only 100% of his slotted salary (first round picks usually receive 120%). The Bulls are faced with a hard-cap situation after signing veterans Kirk Hinrich and Marco Belinelli, but expect the remaining years of Teague’s contract to be at the 120% slotted salary. Regardless, Teague is ready to get to work:

“It feels good to finally get it out of the way,” Teague said in a phone interview. “I just want to get in the gym and start working out.”

Congrats, Marquis!

He should of stayed for another year, maybe 2. His contract will be about the only thing guarenteed the next two year…after than he’ll be lucky to be in the league.

He will be out of the league in two years. He is not that good. He was lucky that he had four pros to pass to. If he played for a team like Florida Stat, he would have been a four year player. He is not athletic and he is short.
