Today sport’s greatest event kicks off…the NCAA Women’s Bowling Tournament! Central Missouri is the tourney’s favorite, while Maryland-Eastern Shore is going for the first ever 3-peat. My pick is Nebraska to become the first school to 4 titles. You can catch the championship round on ESPNU Saturday at 8. As far as that golf tournament this weekend, I’m taking Phil Mickelson

As far as campus, I’d rank it UNC, FSU, UK, and KU. Being objective. UNCs campus is nice. FSU campus not great, but it’s in Florida, so that boosts it. UK campus is good but not great. And KU campus stinks.
Matt – What school is in Kansas that made the Final Four (Wichita St.), where does his brother go to school? He seems close to his family, and has the opportunity to be close to his brother at a Blue Blood school – Kansas would fit that bill.
Hey Matt, 2 possible criteria that you arent thinking of are notoriety of the Big 12 conf in that there are better athletes to compete against as well as tv converage of the Big 12 is more affluent than that of the SEC.

I think you are aloud to have more than 1 teams in NCAA if they are DRASTICALLY different… Kentucky is my #1 but I am a graduate of IUPUI and my cousins took NKU to the DII national title back to back years. So I like to see IUPUI and NKU do well…. HOWEVER, those teams aren’t ever going to be close or really ever play.
So my opinion is your ‘second team’ has to be significantly a different class of team in the NCAA.

Would you rather have won @UL in December 2012 or win the football game this fall? If we won in 2012, not only are we 5-0, could set the season on a different arc, etc. If we win football, we derail UL’s possible title hopes. We probably lose both.
Comment: the main negative for me regarding UL winning is that Cal may have MORE pressure in 2014 than 2012. 2012 was his best chance to prove that his system can do it, but 2014 he HAS to do it given best class of all time + UL’s recent win.

I can’t believe that location would ever be much of a consideration for a top recruit. After all, they will only be going to school for about 4 months if all goes according to plan.

The “bigness” of rivalries is largely determined by how the media covers them. Duke-North Carolina will ALWAYS get more coverage, especially from ESPN, than the Kentucky-Louisville rivalry.

Wiggins is looking for reasons to NOT come to UK. He wants to “brand HIMSELF” and “Forge his OWN legacy.” He can’t do that at UK with the class we have. The story is already about the collection of players. Even at UNC or KU he will be THE piece at a legacy school. I think as UK fans we can all see the reasons for coming to UK and I believe Wiggins sees those too, but I don’t think it matters. He wants to stand on his own with enough support around him to compete for a title. That’s why UNC and KU are so attractive to him.

I think when it comes to Wiggin’s decision. his decision was only helped when Louisville won the turney because when he thinks about coming to UK.. he will play the best team of the previous season and have a chance to beat them in the BIGGEST GAME of the year of UK fans and further go down in UK history as a dominant player and have his legacy bestowed in the books. Why wouldnt he want to come here and beat the previous year’s best team and biggest rivalry arguably now in the country comparable to UNC/DUKE and others.

I haven’t seen a practice – but watched every debacle of a game we played last season….the ONLY quarterback that stepped onto the field with a purpose, completed passes and looked like an SEC player was Patrick Towles. Bottom line.
Louisville Fans trolling the show on a daily basis is just another symptom of “Little Wee Wee” Syndrome that Card Village suffers from.
