Take a look at your current 2013 recruiting class

John Calipari secured the No. 1 recruiting class for 2013 with Lee’s commitment and there are still some names out there that he is looking to add.

Up next: Julius Randle? Aaron Gordon? Tyler Roberson? Kennedy Meeks? Andrew Wiggins?

Go get ’em, Cal.

What a difference 3 years and a coach makes. Did you catch that Mitch?

I can totally see Willis being a Scott Padget type player / sure it may take 3 or 4 years, but a kid in the system that long that can contribute as Padget did is golden.

(Not because they are both white – because they are local, same size, similar skill set, neither that hearlded, probable 4 year kids…)

6}WCS will be at UK at least 2 years…no way is he nba ready next year. kyle may still be here as well.

So who / what is Randle waiting for? Who off the current team does he ‘fear’ could stay and get his minutes next season? Being honest here. All indications are that Noel and Poythress will be gone (1 ‘n done). If for some crazy reason, either of those guys does not perform up to expectations and has to stay – does Randle think they would miraculously get better next off season and make him come off the bench and fewer minutes?

@11 – he probably doesn’t fear anybody…he might just enjoy the process of being recruited and want to stretch it out as long as he can.

looks like Willis has bulked up big time. Saw him play last year at King of the bluegrass and he was very skinny then.

I think everyone keeps forgetting that scouts say Goodwin is the most NBA ready right now. All four freshmen are predicted to be first round so who knows what will happen. Either way, UK will be just fine after they wrap up the best class in basketball history. I am so glad that all these kids have committed before the signing period, only allows them to bond longer and create the chemistry last years freshmen came in with. I hope Randle doesn’t wait too long but I have a feeling he will.

6 & 10: Respectfully, I don’t see WCS staying. WCS will be better this year than Orton at UK (and hopefully finishes his classwork). I would be shocked if Willie is around for more than 1 season. If these guys continue to gel each year like last year’s team, we shouldn’t expect any of the top recruits to play multiple years. It actually seems to be better for UK’s program if they move on to the NBA. As much as we would want some of them to stay for a few years, it probably is better for them AND us for them to go be millionaire teenagers. WCS, welcome to the big time.

I think we should let all of them sign. Would be the greatest class of all time, and any time in the future.

I’ve seen WCS projected in the late first to early second round of the draft.

If he’s that late, I don’t see him going after 1 year. He can come back and raise his draft position with the next team.

Cal has to at some point get some guys to stick around. They’ll need some leadership. Guys just on the cusp of a huge payday who see the benefits of an extra year for a bigger payday.

Sometimes, it’s worth it to wait. Whereas, sometimes it can hurt in the draft (i.e. Sullivan/Ohio St.).

Actually, just went back and checked.

WCS is projected no where in the Draft currently.

These five alone could be an elite team. Willis is 6’9″, and could play a very athleitic 4 if he could also guard that position. His inside / out game would be nasty if his skills are more like a 3.
