Syracuse Punches First Ticket To Final Four

Wake up basketball fans. In a game that excited almost 7 people around the country, Syracuse punched it’s ticket to Atlanta and cruised to a 55-39 win in the East Regional Final. I don’t usually quote Seth Davis, but he nailed it on the head when he said “Syracuse’s zone is good, but not this good”, referring to Marquette’s inability to put the ball in the basket at all costs. The Golden Eagles shot 22% from the field and looked helpless against the 2-3 zone of the Orange. James Southerland led the Orange with 16 points and Michael Carter-Williams posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Orange return to the Final Four for the first time since Carmelo roamed upstate New York in 2003, and will face the winner of Michigan and Florida tomorrow.

Let me be first to hurl
If Florida makes it, they’ll have beaten a 14, 11, 15 and a 4 to get in. That’s nuts.
enjoy it while you can Jimmy B
SorryCuse (pukes)
they’ll fold
It’s a good thing the Hoops team is in the tournament, otherwise this website would have to be shut down for false advertising or change its name to “At least we’re not Louisville or Duke” sports radio.
Let me first say 4 final fours in 37 years is awful. That is what Bohiem has done. Gotleeb or however you spell it saying this Syacuse could beat our team from last year is betonnd ignorant. That was THE worst elite 8 games I can remember.
Could happen is not the same as saying WILL happen. In a one game, winner take all, anything COULD happen. Does not make it likely. I mean did you see the UK team this year? They were horrible and they managed to beat a UF team that has a real chance at winning it all. Nothing to see here. Please don’t send me your hate mail fans. I promise not to take anything from your locker room.
Both Florida and Michigan can light it up shooting. Stracuse can’t expect to only put up 55 and beat either of those teams.
Gottlieb is a Jewish douche-bag !
Boy Cuse looks good right now. So much length on the perimeter of their zone. Making teams shoot a high percentage from the 3, which is a low percentage shot, is working well for them. I don’t know why more teams don’t play zone. And full court press like Pitino. Both of those confound and confuse most teams and lead to easy fast break points and forcing the other team to take low percentage shots.
This team is a paper tiger just like every year. They are lucky to be in the final four.
Well, good for the biggest whiner in the NCAA. Hey, Jimmy, call up Bernie and get your ballboy program going again. Amazing how that story just completely went away?! In Boeheim’s own words, “I am not Joe Paterno”. No, you’re actully worse. Sickening.
