Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day in the Commonwealth, inspiring thousands to go outside and rediscover the great outdoors. Mark Stoops was among those thousands yesterday as he enjoyed a trip to Keeneland. CollegeSpun.com has the article.
According to his brother, Jeff, Marquis Teague should have stayed in college for another season. “I told him it was going to be rough his first year,” said Jeff. “It was rough my first year, getting picked by a playoff team, it’s never easy. But he’s been taking it well.” The complete article written by the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn can be found here.
Last week, former Wildcat football star, Wesley Woodyard, helped kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month in Denver. He teamed up with the city’s Mayor and then spoke on behalf of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children). The article, along with a video, can be found here.
Many have an opinion on what Nerlens Noel should do with his future after the catastrophic knee injury. Steven von Horn of SB Nation is one of those people. In his article, von Horn claims that Noel’s injury isn’t suppressing his draft status.
Some say the nation’s top unsigned recruit, Andrew Wiggins, is the best player since LeBron James. However, Wiggins seems to be allergic to all the media attention, this according to SB Nation’s Ricky O’ Donnell. In the feature length article, O’ Donnell claims that Wiggins seems to be humble, even when the media spotlight shines upon him.

Hey Rutgers: Ain’t karma a b!tch. *quack quack*
1,,that’s funny right there. imus and rev al are laughing after they split the settlement $$
My morning got off to a rather nauseas start this morning when a sports commentator made the statement that UL is america’s team. I had to admit though that they are where they deserve to be. They have 1. Talent, 2. Depth, and 3. Fight. I did a quick rewind of UK’s past season and realized that we only have 1 of the above and that was rather shakey at times (Talent). I continue to hope that the Cards do not cut down the nets tomorrow but wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
3. You can’t tell me the team last year didn’t also have fight… MKG, Davis, Miller were all full of “the will to win.” The only thing we lacked last year was depth, thankfully that didn’t matter.
If I were one of those players, I probably would have been kicked off the team because I would have thrown the balls back at him!!!
3. Just realized you were talking about the 2012-2013 team… disregard that comment!
my bro is gonna ” SHOCKERS” the WORLD when he announces his decision :O my!
Wiggins is allergic to all the attention? That is awful. Does he break out in hives or just get really congested?
Constipated
After enduring a week of endless chest thumping by UofL and UofL fans I come to KSR to get away from the daily hell of listening to all that garbage. First thing I see on the top of the page is an advertisement for UofL. Now of all place that sell out to for some ad money UofL should be lower than the pile of dog s**t. Thanks for making a painful time in UK fandom even worse.
If Wiggins doesn’t like attention, then why wait to announce where he’s going? Get it over with.
#10 – It’s google ads. It runs ads for stuff you look at the most. Quit looking at Louisville pages and worry about your own team.
im not worried about cards they faced week competition. lets focus on our program, its gonna be goooood!!!
I don’t blame young Teague for following the money one bit, but oh what a different season it could have been for all of us.
Cats 2014!
Cal didn’t count on Teague leaving either. We were stuck without a premiere point guard. With Teague at the point this year, we have a different outcome.
#3 don’t be depressed because the press has made UL America’s team for a week. If Ware doesn’t break his leg on national TV with something that looked much worse than it actually was, the fantasy doesn’t get spun. This has been a very boring tourney so the story has been pumped to attract interest. I will bet when the numbers come in the viewership will be low.
Funny, I haven’t found this to be a boring tourney at all.
Well, the other thing Wiggins is is self centered. ALL of his comments are about how the school he chooses can help him. That’s his only focus. RARELY does he say something about winning, and I’ve never heard he say he wants to go somewhere where he can HELP a TEAM win. No, it’s all about how the school can help him prepare for the NBA. Frankly, I don’t want a player like that. They come to UK to WIN first. In the process they get better as TEAM players, individual players, and noticed on a national scale. He’s all about using some school for one year to his benefit, and he makes no bones about it.
14) Teague followed the money the day he inked with UK. Nike gave his bro (who averaged 3 points at the time) a new shoe deal just a day or two before Teague picked uk. It is obvious how the $$$ was funnelled to him.
19 – Wanna buy a unicorn?
#16 the numbers did come out and Louisville vs Wichita st had higher numbers than UK vs Uofl last yr. it’s been a very exciting year as a college bball fan. Just because we sucked it up doesn’t mean it was the worst season ever
